... you would need to recieve to make a significant and perminant change in your life?

Lump sum or like a salary?

Posted

At least $30,000. That should be enough to pay off most of my debts, and free up enough income for me to save properly for signifcant change.

I'm about on a par with Shade's estimate.

$10,000 for debts. The rest is cushion/downpayment/etc.

OK...I see how this goes...

Gimme $500K please. That outta cover child support and alimony till the kids are 18, plus college costs and paying off my debts. Then I all I have to worry about is making a living for me.. :whistling

1.43 million considering interest rates on cd's after 4 years I could comfortably support my family off of said interest and work part time so I could make donations to worthy charities that help U.S. children.

You'd be better off in some A rated corporate bonds. Not quite as safe, but much better yields (and still relatively safe). And you'd probably want some equities for inflationary risk too, but what do I know?

Just like Dr. Evil. 100 billion dollars.

Without that kind of dough, my life would probably be pretty much the same.

I'm a simple guy.

A stripper your mother is, implying you are.

stripping leads to singles, singles lead to lunch money, school lunch leads to suffering...

I would like $5Million dollars please

Large Bills in non-sequential order. :cool

First I would pay off my debts,

Get a modest house pay it off, and furnish it,

get a couple of cool cars,

a new wardrobe

Hand out some bills to some family and friends,

pay off bills for like 5 years, and then invest the 1/2 of whatever is left over, and then play with the rest.

:devil No amount of money will make me change at all!! The only changes I will make is getting rid of bad habits thats it.

Hey Marc... your screwed man. If you were to get any lump sum payment.. you have to give 50% to your ex and it doesn't count toward any form of support.

So.. on that note...

I would like my current wife to recieve a lump sum payment of about 100 million... I'm pretty sure I could then setup each of my kids with college money and a car and possibly live in the confort I deserve.

Hey kid - I only got .50 cents a week, and that was sometimes. Most of the time I had to work for my dad's landscaping Biz digging ditches (literally) and that got me .50 cents and hour. Beleive me, your gravy......

And dont call your Mom a dummy - disrespect toward the parentals aint cool and it paints you in a bad light.

one thousand dollars oughta do it.

HMMMMM....at least 100k lump sum to payoff everything owed and a nice trip around the world for me and my son and daughter and the grandchillins....and my ex too what the heck i still like her she's a good friend........... Oh and a perminant change would take besides my own income another 30k a year would be good enough just to make it comfortable I'm not real greedy

Posted

Oh, screw it...Millions would be nice. oh yesh.

Posted

Around $50k, so I could pay off current bills, car loan & student loans. Then I would debt free and have fun making myself in debt again LOL

Posted

None.

I've been making significant and permanent changes all along. I don't need money to make more changes it just happens naturally. However, negative sums of money seem to have the most impact on change.
