FarrIL Posted September 27, 2005 Posted September 27, 2005 Well, as a few of you might already know, I am planning on moving back downstate when the school semester finishes. With that move comes a few changes, new job location, new school, more frequent visits to certain places (( hinthint )) but more specifically, I am thinking that my hair is in dire need of a re-style. Lately I've been snipping at the lower layers, and due to some unfortunate eneven cutting, I have an uneven, short, layer. So that has lead me to want to get an official haircut with just the bottom layer cut short, but plenty of long hair to hide it up on top. Not only do I want to get it cut, but I want to redye it too. Black (( or some dark shade of red/burgundy )) on the bottom, and a lighter red shade up on top. Oddly enough, I want to take Blue 'Special Effects' hair dye and dye my bangs. THAT I could do myself.... .... But I still want suggestions. What would you reccomend, who would you reccomend, do I get my hair done that way, or no. I Needs Me Some FEEDBACK!! e.e

FarrIL Posted September 28, 2005 Author Posted September 28, 2005 So Brenda, do you have any tips or suggestions? You do make-up and hair, so I'm curious what you would have to say about it?
Msterbeau Posted September 28, 2005 Posted September 28, 2005 So Brenda, do you have any tips or suggestions? You do make-up and hair, so I'm curious what you would have to say about it? Yeah... Ms freakin expert hair and makup.... What do YOU have to say.
Msterbeau Posted September 28, 2005 Posted September 28, 2005 OK... My suggestions. Personally I like you as a blonde...but what fun is it to keep the same ole hair color? I think the long bangs help frame your face well. I'd keep em. You could probably get away with short-ish and spiky but that doesn't sound like your thing. Maybe real short in the back and keep the length in front? *shrugs* Colors. Blue in the front makes sense to go with your eyes. I think reds need to stay on the cool side... like burgandy/violet. Your skin tones seem to work better with those shades...as well as the eyes. (I did quicky sketches just to see, by the way... no you may not see them.) That's all.
FarrIL Posted September 28, 2005 Author Posted September 28, 2005 Yeah, colour-wise, darker shades of Red/Violet would work just fine. I still want to be able to pull my hair back in the double-buns. But when I do so, there'd be shorter, darker hair underneath. The long bangs are staying, I just want to dye them blue.
holliwood66 Posted September 28, 2005 Posted September 28, 2005 Double process bleach and use a platinum blonde toner over all. Then use highlight paper to add in a semi-permanent dark blue panel 2" wide in the front next to a Red-Violet panel 1" wide. Keep it long in the front, shorter and choppy in the back. I would have the hairdresser point-cut the ends all around for movement and to cut down on "triangle head." *LOL* I always wanted to be a hair designer...but I couldn't do that much talking to clients~ *plus, I like $$ and they don't make much usually*
Brenda Starrr Posted September 28, 2005 Posted September 28, 2005 Hey, if all else fails, you can always do your hair like Marc's..... *runs*

Marblez Posted September 28, 2005 Posted September 28, 2005 I'd go with Holliwoods suggestion, it sounds keen Besides red/black combinations are much much too common.
