When you say "work the color" what do you mean ? The color of the text you type? After you hit "add reply" above the area where you type there are various text-editing things, one of which is called "color".

You type out your text, and then highlight whatever it is you want to change, then click on the color you want or bold/underlined/itallics etc. Hope that helps. =)
