So this lady I know says even hollywood stars do this.

Put P.H. on their under eye wrinkles.

Seems like it would do some wierd damage to face tissue in the long run........I am afraid to try it.

Should I????

The Beauty Cream

Preparation-H the most familiar of all hemorrhoid products has gained a reputation for aiding in the healing of dry, cracked and irritated skin. This amazing product has even been used by women to help tighten the skin under the eyes. Articles have been written in health publications regarding the many uses of the Canadian manufactured Preparation-H. Scientist say its the Bio-Dyne found in the Canadian Manufactured product that aids in reducing wrinkles.

Makeup Artist Secret

In the mid-1970s, cosmetic scientist Dr. Ronald DiSalvo was having lunch with a colleague when she pulled out a tube of Preparation H™ and started applying it to her eyes. Aghast, DiSalvo asked: “Why are you using a hemorrhoid product on your face?” The woman explained that it was a trick long used by Hollywood makeup experts to briefly plump up the skin of actors and remove the telltale traces of a hangover, cigarette smoking, or exhaustion.

When talk show host Conan O'Brien expressed concern about the bags under his eyes his makeup artist told him not to worry and proceeded to apply cream on his face. Within half an hour the bags were gone. Conan thought it was an old family secret recipe. After some prodding Andrea finally told him it was Preparation H that she had been using.

Lisa Rinna, model and actor,

says "Surprisingly, it really does work for puffy eyes." but

We were surprised when a ordered Prep H.

He used it as a skin cream prior to a competition.

Apparently it helped tighten muscles.

Hey, if Bobby and Whitney do it, it's good enough for me!

My mom used to use it......... I dont know, i never paid attention to see if it wroked or not on her..........

Slightly related- I knew a woman who swore by Desitin- the stuff for babies' diaper rash- as a face cream. Said she'd been using it forever. She was 65 and looked 40.

I've never tried it but from what I've read it's harmless (after all, that tissue on your bottom is very sensitive too).

It could dry your skin out after awhile I'd think, but if you moisturize too that should take care of that.

Hmmm, I am going to try it. Desitin? I wonder what that would do.....? Sure is cheaper than oil of olay.

Prep H really does work for the bags.

I use it under the eyes if I'm especially allergic or have been crying or not sleeping or something. It's alittle greesy though. Maybe not an everyday fix.

You have to use it REALLY sparingly. That way, it won't be quite so slick.

Word. Maybe now I can stop looking hungover at work.

Gawd that sounds bad... :blushing

I heard from a Dermatologist friend of the family that using Prep-H more than once in a great while can damage the skin/tissue under the eyes making wrinkles and dark circles worse in the long run. *constant vasoconstriction of blood vessels from overuse of the product causes a rebound effect when not in use*

So yeah, it works but be sparing for those special occasions.

Exactly.

It's certainly NOT a daily-use thing. I've only used it 3 times in all the years I've been wearing makeup.

Ass cream for the face? Yeah, I've heard of it too. Actually, I think a patient was telling me about it some time ago.
