soothsayer Posted October 5, 2005 Posted October 5, 2005 Met someone and every time you speak with them you either finish each others sentance of say the same exact things a lot? This has been going on with a new friend of mine and at first it was cute (for lack of a better label) but now it's getting freaky. We both reconize this and can't figure out how we think so much alike. What does it mean???? Has this happened to others here?
torn asunder Posted October 5, 2005 Posted October 5, 2005 yes - i had to kill them before they learned all my secrets, though... :fear
saechalyn Posted October 5, 2005 Posted October 5, 2005 It's happened to me; I never really thought it meant anything other than we have similar thought patterns.
soothsayer Posted October 5, 2005 Author Posted October 5, 2005 Well maybe it doesn't mean anything but still - it's freaky.
Brenda Starrr Posted October 5, 2005 Posted October 5, 2005 There are only two people who I can do this with. I think that they know who they are.

I think that they know who they are. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That's what I was trying to describe - it's a rare thing. Also I think it's amazing for two minds to think so alike, maybe I'm weird for having a fascination with this subject.
Brenda Starrr Posted October 5, 2005 Posted October 5, 2005 Nope. I find it quite fascinating as well. Sometimes, I don't even have to speak. Oh wait. Since when do I not speak?!
Steven Posted October 5, 2005 Posted October 5, 2005 It's happened to me; I never really thought it meant anything other than we have similar thought patterns. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yep. This can all too often be mis-interpreted as a "meant to be" thing, destiny, ultimate compatibility, when in reality - its none of those things.

soothsayer Posted October 5, 2005 Author Posted October 5, 2005 I must also add this - it has been proven that many people that think alike meet and spend the rest of their lives together. wether it be buisness or personal. I for myself think that these things mean more than the surface would show.
DarkVampire Posted October 5, 2005 Posted October 5, 2005 An ex is the only one who could do that with me. And me doing the same to her in return.
DisturbedMania Posted October 5, 2005 Posted October 5, 2005 Jeremy and I do that all the time. Even when we first met. Couldn't be happier together.
holliwood66 Posted October 6, 2005 Posted October 6, 2005 Hmm, not that is has happened much at all...but I get extremely irritated when someone finishes or tires to finish my sentences. It is usually a selfcentered shitbag who can't wait 3-4 words to start talking about themself or their opinion. *shrugs*

ManicQueen Posted October 6, 2005 Posted October 6, 2005 That sounds like how Rich and I were when we first starting "chatting" online.
Msterbeau Posted October 6, 2005 Posted October 6, 2005 Nope. I find it quite fascinating as well. Sometimes, I don't even have to speak. Oh wait. Since when do I not speak?! Heh.
bean Posted October 6, 2005 Posted October 6, 2005 My best friend and I are like that, from the time we met when we were 11, until now (14 years later). These days, we can make a face or a hand gesture at each other and know exactly what it means. I guess its just similar thinking people who managed to be at the right place at the right time.
