Totems

Ok so I have been on this Shamanic quest for to find me totems for awhile. I know to honor them ect. And spiders is one of mine.

But I cannot get used to spiders!

I just killed a black widow in my house and I feel guilty.

And I know that is stupid but I do.

I don't mean to sound as if I'm questioning your spiritual beliefs, but could it be that the spider is not actually your totem? Or could it be that just some of the qualities of the creature and not the creature itself is what you're after?

Perhaps you need to narrow down what species of spider is your totem?

humans have na inherrant fear of spiders in general, so i agree that maybe narrowing the field down from all spiders to be more specific could help. you may find yourself suprizingly comfortable once you do. good luck!

I hate spiders.

I kill them with Lysol and a Bic Lighter.

I have no guilt.

They are Gods creatures, yes.

But it's my house.

And my Bic Lighter.

Perhaps your Totem could be a Bic Lighter?

I would have to agree in narrowing down what specific spider it is supposed to be.

Or, you could ask yourself, what specifically about spiders freak you out? Maybe this is a clue in your quest...like what you fear in spiders is something you fear in yourself, or are things you need to work on? I dunno...
