paradox Posted October 23, 2005 Posted October 23, 2005 Maybe that's why our leaders suck so much. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> :laughing well, if people are stupid in groups, it only follows that groups of people will make dumb decisions about who should lead them.

mallochai Posted October 23, 2005 Posted October 23, 2005 Facial Hair does not make a man. Its his heart and his brain and his ability to step away from the other ignorant fools in the crowd. A man treats everyone with respect, and does not dive in at the first site of a fight. Manhood is an earned thing. Which I also think Womanhood is also. Neither can be considered just because of age. You can be 43 and still be one of those people that has never grown up, too. Anyways, thats just my opinion. Mew <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I also think that you can "be a man" and "not be grown up." Same for women. One does not necessarily denote that the other is impossible. Sometimes, one might require the ingenuity of the other. For instance, it seems to me that someone must be a good man (or woman) to be a good father (or mother), but they must also be able to be a kid to be a good father (or mother) to their child. Of course, this isn't a logical science. :whistling
CatsEyeOfTheWiccan Posted October 24, 2005 Posted October 24, 2005 You seems to be one of the less awful men I've come across in my time.. the majority though.. yeah... no. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Meeeow..I am like a realy Cat and purrrsss.. CatsEye
Moonlight_Phantasy Posted October 24, 2005 Posted October 24, 2005 My opinion still is that Women and Men are to be petted like Kitties. .Mew. .Mew.
Homicidalheathen Posted October 24, 2005 Posted October 24, 2005 Did you know that if you pet it, it gets BIGGER? (and or wetter) heh heh
Steven Posted October 28, 2005 Posted October 28, 2005 Most of these things do not make men...they make human beings. As far as leading goes, though, I think most times it takes more in the way of personal character to recognize that you shouldn't be leading and let whoever is more capable for the situation do so. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> ....These things make human beings, yes, just as all human beings breathe air and consume food. But my point is and was - that our modern day version of manhood is soooooooooooooo watered down from what it used to be, and I'm just talking recent history - from the 70's on down to today. We lack strong male role models. We just do. We lack even a handful of decent fathers, Mothers are forced to do a Fathers job nowdays. Women in general - are forced to step in for man-like deficiencies that are simply no longer addressed. Because it is overwhelming in sheer numbers we now consider it the norm. But in reality, the "Norm" is an exhaustive and inneficient machine. And yes I do beleive - that men play a critical role. Steven

Brenda Starrr Posted November 8, 2005 Posted November 8, 2005 I got lucky. Wayne loves me for who I am. He doesn't care if my hair is purple, brown, or whatever. He loves my children as if they were his, and has stood up for them many times. He treats us as if we were the end-all/be-all in his life. We laugh every day about anything. It doesn't matter how trivial or how huge, we're snickering about it. He hugs my kids, and tells them he loves them....even after he yells at them. We've been through the worst of times, and the best of times. For us, the best is yet to come. I wish that everyone could get along like that.

Wayne has my respect and admiration, and not just because his wife is a hottie with star boobies either. I've seen the hardest of the hardcore struggle with these very things you describe in Wayne - and so in reality these men were weak and ruled by weakness. you got a good dude Brenda. Steven
