FarrIL Posted October 21, 2005 Posted October 21, 2005 Well, today I got paid. Today we were having a clearance sale at Ye Olde Hot Topic where you take an additional 50% off. So....... let's just say that (( including my employee discount )), I bought a new pair of boots, a new hat and some new 8 gauges that, all together, rang to the tune of 9.84. So...... what fun stuff have YOU bought from the loverly clearance rack at any store?? (( I'm in a good mood, you can probably tell ^^ ))
Nienna Posted October 21, 2005 Posted October 21, 2005 Yeah.. I got a sweet deal on an awesome skirt at Hot Pocket last weekend. $7.00!! WHOOOOHOOOOOOOO

I also like to buy it and hock it on Ebay for twice what I paid.. :devil
FarrIL Posted October 21, 2005 Author Posted October 21, 2005 I shop at dollar stores too..... that's where I buy my pipe cleaners and plastic tubing for whenever I want to put funky things in my hair, just for kicks. I've gotten a few of my fake hair scrunchies from dollar stores..... and a few good hair ties. e.e

FarrIL Posted October 24, 2005 Author Posted October 24, 2005 my roommate works at the good old Hot Topic as well...i love clearance time cause she brings me home goodies. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Wish I had the money to bring myself home some goodies all the time. ;_; I cant always spend money on even cheap-cheap clearance like what I did friday..... now that I looka t my gas tank, that was about 10 bucks more to go to gas.... oh well. My boots rock, I gave one of my new gauges to my friend Kelly and I havent worn the hat yet. e.e (( The hat has the emblem for Clandestine Industries....... the Drummer from Fallout Boy wrote a book that CI published, so I bought the hat because of CI, not because of Fallout Boy........ sooo confusing, I guess I have to look into the music now oO ))
Moonlight_Phantasy Posted October 24, 2005 Posted October 24, 2005 You know what? Ive actually found goth boots with laces and buckles and everything at Wal Mart for $17.00. I bought those a month ago. They totally rock. they've even got the zipper on the side of them. I found a similar pair at Hot Topic for $49.50. So I got lucky.
ZhukovCodeslinger Posted October 24, 2005 Posted October 24, 2005 I love flea markets and swap meets for good deals.... Most of the store bought clearance stuff i get are books... and that can save a lot of money (since I read so much)

The man's name was Bernie and he and my grandfather would have long discussions about whatever. They were good people. Very friendly. =3
honeymustard02 Posted October 25, 2005 Posted October 25, 2005 I made it to the clearence sale. I didn't do as well as you but I got some paper and a pen both for 98 cents. Not bad.
holliwood66 Posted October 25, 2005 Posted October 25, 2005 Went shopping after work: got 2 pairs of boots *1 practical winter-snow pair* and a pair of bronze leather shoes...and 4 pairs of tights, and some neato holiday sockies, and some waterproof MAC eyeliner and lip shine. I love sales~ Also excited all the hippie crap is going away - lots of good dark textures and tailored stuff coming out in the stores (great for curvy folks like meself)
Fierce Critter Posted October 26, 2005 Posted October 26, 2005 Jon and I hit up Great Lakes Crossing and Lakeside this past Saturday. Torrid is having 50% off all their clearance, and I got the ruched dress I wore to CC this past Saturday for $10 (Someone is selling them on eBay for $30 each. Too bad GLC is so far away or I'd get more and sell them. 'Course, they didn't have many left...) HT was having good sales, too. Though they never have plus-sizes left on their clearance racks. However, Jon FINALLY got a pair of "punk/goth" boots - Anarchic's that were originally $69, he got for $18. So he can give his Dr. Marten's platforms a rest. Now, if only I can find a patent bustier/corset on clearance somewhere... in MY size!!! =(
Fierce Critter Posted October 26, 2005 Posted October 26, 2005 I was at Joanne's today and all their Halloween stuff was 70% off, excluding electrical decorations, which were 40% off. This INCLUDES Halloween/costume fabric. They had stretch metallics, velvets, vinyls, gauzes, ultrasuedes, etc. - all 70% off. Have fun, crafters/sewers among us!
