Ugh... I really dislike Ted. I have had the displeasure of meeting him a few times... but I did get the pleasure of asking him to leave my sisters first wedding.

BTW.. the White Buffalo in the song actually was an animal... the song was inspired by a native legend. Ted really is way into the hunter/hunted thing.

I was SO sure Dark would have voted for Ted. Just goes to show you can't pre-guess anyone on this board.

There are things about Ted I do like. But he's as big a hypocrite as anyone else out there. I at first admired him for his philosophy on hunting and eating his own meat. Despite my love for animals and wildlife in general, I don't have a problem with people who hunt to feed themselves.

But then I found out he does things like squirrel hunts just for pleasure. That's when he lost me.

Ted/Critter/Detroit connection anecdote: I had a guitar pick from his store. But not any pick you can pick up at his store - this one was given to a friend BY Ted, and then to me. But I think I threw it out, replaced by a genuine Rick Neilson pick thrown into the audience at a Cheap Trick concert.

Just my opinion.... but,

I am all for hunting in the basic sense, you know for food and all...

But Ted seems to be like a gun toating over riched psycho asshole....

Ted is an avid hunter and Hunting Rights advocate.. I support him on this. My whole family hunts.. hell, I would have starved to death as a child if not for hunting. I don't beleive in hunting for the sheer pleasure of it. Ted does not NEED to hunt to feed his kids. Ted does not NEED to hunt to suppliment his food supply. Ted is a rich mother fucker. He isn't just scraping by and the hunting does not help him to make ends meet. (pun intended) I don't care if he eats what he kills. He does not NEED to kill at all. Now, if he started donating his kills to charitable orginizations... then I would support him. Until then.. get him the fuck out of my woods so I can feed my family.

As for the wedding... It was my sisters wedding. I don't care how famous he was at the time (mid 80's) or if he was friends with her husband or not... It was thier day, not his. He should have sung them thier song and stepped out of the spot light.. not try to turn it into a mini concert.
