Pedicures...Aren't They Awesome?!

Do you get pedicures? Do you get them year round? What's your favorite color polish? Do you go to someone that you trust, or will any random place do?

I simply adore them, but don't get them often enough. Since I'm also a licensed nail tech, I have the ability to do my own. However, it's just not the same! I'll wear any color....it just doesn't matter. I hate nail art, though. I think that it's just plain cheesy.

So, what's your take on this?

I'm about to live right next door to a beauty school (which hopefully I'll end up also attending before too long), and they've got pedicures for pretty cheap, so the students can practice. I think, if I go and it's not horrible, I'll probably make a once a month or so ritual out of it. I've never had one before (I've only ever had one manicure, and that was a few weeks ago).

Love 'em. In the city here there are TONS of nail shops all over the place. Most of them have the nice recliner type chairs and my favorite place has a rose and milk soak!!!!

That reminds me, I need to go soon.

I love them and I am sooo very addicted to getting them. There is one place I go to and I usually see the same girl. As for color, usually a french manicure or a dark red.

Before I met my husband, I hardly even wore sandals, 'cause I had horrible feet. Callouses, short nails, etc. I wouldn't have dared expose them to some poor, unsuspecting nail tech.

Then, we moved to Florida for a few months, and I wanted, NEEDED, to wear sandals. Walking in the sand at the beach helped naturally exfoliate my feet, and then my husband who, shall we say appreciates the female foot, gladly became my personal pedicurist.

He buffs them, rubs them, moisturizes them and polishes the nails for me on a regular basis. So they look great now, except for those times when they've gotten weak and the nails end up too short.

I wear all sorts of colors. He likes me in red but I like metallic shades from pinks to orchids, even blues, greens & yellows.

I was blessed with pretty feet. However, I can't get Wayne to touch them without begging. Seems as though his really scary aunt with even scarier feet used to MAKE him rub her feet when he was younger. His preference is any variety of a french pedicure. He will constantly comment on how pretty my feet are, but just won't touch them too often. Damn you, Aunt Diane!!!

I feel for you, Brenda. I know how much I love Jon's foot rubs, and how much I'd miss them if they weren't there anymore.

I actually LIKE my feet now.

I have only ever had one pro pedicure and i loved it. but i just can not spend money on things like that offten. I wear what ever color i happen to be in the mood for. I too have been told i am blessed with pretty "perfect" feet or atleast that is what my friend tells me, she works at a foot docotrs office (i cant spell podiatrist).

i do on a reg basis scrub, lotion, and all that good stuff to my own fett but i must say it has never felt like it did when i had it done. They also did a parafin wax on my feet and omg it was the best in the world almost better then sex.

i also (for lack of cash) have learned how to do my own nails, which i must say i never as enjoyable as having some one else do it.

I propose that all of us girls and those men who like to be pampered too get togeteher and just do all this nice stuff for each other, maybe like once a month or so. I have some of the supplies already ( or atleast i think i do) and i do have this mat that vibrates i am sure we canput it in a chair and prtend we are sitting in one of those great one thet have atthe salon.

any how just an idea if any one is intrested let me know. ;o) harm
