I really can't believe it and I am sure I am not alone. Over the course of my life I have always been amazed on how Detroit voters always seam to favor a horrible canidate over another who will at least attempt to turn things around. For example former Mayor Coleman Young was a crook. He stole the people's tax money for his own personal use and he later admitted it, and yet the people of the city loved him like no other and was re-elected time and time again. That is just one thing out of the many negative things that he did, but the people didn't even seam to care and loved the man. Even during this past two mayor debates live on television both Kwame Kilpatrick and Freman Hendrix said how great of a man Coleman Young was and how they hope to follow in his footsteps.  WHAT?  DID I HEAR THAT RIGHT? Luckily Mayor Dennis Archer did try turning things around When Young finally retired from politics. Archer did many things to better the city and he brought back much business to the downtown area and things were looking up. Then Kilpatrick took office. After 4 years of lies, cover ups and conspiracy how can this man win a re-election? Many magazines such as Time in recent months have even crowned Kilpatrick as the worst mayor in America. I will say it again, I have always been amazed on how Detroit voters always seam to favor a horrible canidate over another who will at least attempt to turn things around. 4 more years of him and there will be nothing left. Still he must not be felling so good about his re-election knowing that 47% of Detroit voters want him out. Oh well, the downward spiral continues. 4 more years.
