TheLordShaper Posted November 10, 2005 Posted November 10, 2005 I would just like to point out that raking leaves is no fun anymore. I used to get to jump into them and have all kinds of stupid afterschool fun and now I'm just old and pissed at the wind for messing up my work.. Damn I feel like im turning into my parents. ~TLS

Damn I feel like im turning into my parents. ~TLS <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I notice myself becoming more and more like my dad as I work on my house. Swearing up a storm when a project doesn't turn out, taking random naps, complaining about the neighbors/bills/house. Ah, now this is the life...
gothicmom Posted November 10, 2005 Posted November 10, 2005 WE haven't done our yard yet (there are still alot of leaves on the trees). But I did out by the curb, it's the responsibility of the property owner to do that. I went out and did that on Tuesday before the rain, because the sewer drain thingy was blocked and I didn't want teh street to flood in front of our house. Today, it's all plugged up again!! Grrrrr, we live at the bottom of a hill. This year we have a blower/sucker/mulcher!! Yeah!
Msterbeau Posted November 10, 2005 Posted November 10, 2005 I did mine for the first time last night. In Ferndale you put em in the street... so I raked them out there and let the wind do what it wanted...
Nienna Posted November 10, 2005 Posted November 10, 2005 I live in apartment so they aren't my problem. I love walking in them though.
Wounds Within Posted November 10, 2005 Posted November 10, 2005 In both Rochester, Michigan and LA, California people just rake the leaves in the street and a truck comes once a week to pick them up. I think they do the same in Romeo, Michigan as well, but I am not sure. It is interesting to go driving down the street plowing threw the mountains of leaves. - Bloodied

And just for the record, cause I don't whine about it enough, there aren't enough leaves in anchorage, ak to rake. or romp in. or toss about menacingly. boo.
