Kittens Are Coming!

Last night, Wayne was like a nervous new daddy, setting up a bassinet! He made spots all over our bedroom for Sunshine to have her babies. He was so funny. Very nervous about her comfort level. She's due any moment now.

Sunshine is now nesting in a box that Wayne set up for her. She doesn't want us to leave her alone at this point. We think it's time. We're so excited, and Trixie has been so helpful to Sunshine, making sure that she's safe. We're taking turns being in there with her, as she refuses to be alone. I'll keep you posted on the babies!

These babies are going to be sooooooooooo cute! She's still just nesting, but won't let Wayne leave our bedroom. He walked out to join in the family dinner, only for her to come out and nudge him to come back.

The 1st one has just popped out at 2:34a.m.

The 2nd one was born at 2:54a.m. The 3rd, at 3:23. We went to bed after that, and she gave us one more while we slept. We now have 4 precious new babies.

We have a black one with white boots and belly, a grey one, an orange one, and a cream one. The cream-colored one is already rambunctious, making Sunshine have to put it back into the nest!

I will, soon. They are sooooooooo cute! She delivered without a peep. The only sound she made was when she came out to Wayne to let him know that she was ready. He said that she meowed like crazy to get his attention. He woke me up to let me know that they were coming. By that point, the head of the 1st one was out. It was really amazing to watch.

I watched my cat give birth once when I was a teenager.. It was an awesome experience!
