Wounds Within Posted November 27, 2005 Posted November 27, 2005 Yep it is true. I just saw a commerical of it on the television while I was at my buddies place. I guess it is good for the kids. Good times. the Disney station on Detroit radio WFDF 910 AM http://radio.disney.go.com/mystation/Detroit/index.html - Bloodied
Nienna Posted November 29, 2005 Posted November 29, 2005 I pass a billboard for this off of M-10 on my way to City Club. It makes my teeth hurt.
Ginevra Posted November 30, 2005 Posted November 30, 2005 As a friend of a person who has a small child, I have to admit that the station is not all *that* bad. They play stuff from Hamster Dance to Queen. Of course, you're not going to hear Bauhaus, Rammstein or Rob Zombie, but they do try to make a good mix so that neither parents nor kids will get bored with it. That said, I won't be bringing this station in on MY radio willingly any time soon.
Marblez Posted November 30, 2005 Posted November 30, 2005 As the Parent of a 5 year old, I haave been listening quite a bit. I actually quite like it. But the I am *not so goth*.
Lilith Posted November 30, 2005 Posted November 30, 2005 I have three kids one who really enjoys the music on disney channel. I heard the commercial and thought good a station where she can here her Cheeta Girls and lizzy mcguire etc......... I am happy for it. just becasue they are Disney and for kids does not mean they will play bad music, they really do put allot of thought and time in to these kids/ people who perform, some are so so some are great either way i dont htink it deserves any less appreciation then any other music. This is paving the road for our future artistis, getting more kids in to music and over all is not a bad thing. May not be up your alley but does deserve some level of respect.
Onyx Posted January 6, 2006 Posted January 6, 2006 My little one makes puking noises when she sees anything Disney (or Barbie). I swear I did not influence her!

It reminds me of being a kid when my brother and I used to rock out to Disco Mickey Mouse.
