I just got a phone call from the agent less than an hour ago with details for the gig tomorrow. I'm like, "What? I never heard back from you on that."

Agent: "Yeah, I said definately mark your calendar 'cuz you had the gig and I'd call you later with details."

Me: "No. You said, 'I'll quote your rates to the client and more than likely they'll approve so go ahead and pencil in the date but I'll call you later with confirmation.'"

That first call was two weeks ago. Gig is tomorrow night and she's just now calling me about it? I told her since I never heard back I already made other plans but I'll go ahead and cancel them so I can do the show. (I'm getting paid sweetly for this gig so I'd be a fool to turn it down.)

So, I'll be at the Emerald Ballroom in Mount Clemens tomorrow night performing close-up magic from 10:30-1:30. I'm going to try to make it to CC as soon as I'm done which means I'll get there right when they stop serving alcohol. Dammit. Another raincheck on that beer Saephyr. But, for all those die hards who stay 'til 4, hopefully I'll be seeing you but there's no guarantees.
