phee Posted November 28, 2005 Posted November 28, 2005 I was talking with my distinguished colleague bav about this subject last night... we are both interested in the area of eatinghumanology... My main points were thus: 1.) Catholics Claim that they do it already.... 2.) In organ donation, you take a peace of another and put it into your body to live longer.... what is the big difference? 3.) It could be handled like organ donation, you could have an "eat me" thing on your licence so if in an accident happens... you know... 4.) Everyday millions of children go to bed hungry... and everyday we bury millions of perfectly good cuts of meat... What is more immoral to you?
paradox Posted November 28, 2005 Posted November 28, 2005 even marvel comics promotes it and superheroes cant be wrong...
Rayne Posted November 28, 2005 Posted November 28, 2005 I'm not so much for eating people....but I see your point.
Msterbeau Posted November 28, 2005 Posted November 28, 2005 Didn't you mean "colleague?" Are you the grammer Nazi for the day?
Msterbeau Posted November 28, 2005 Posted November 28, 2005 You knew this was coming sooner or later... so let me just get it over with: I like eating people. Well... women. They are usually quite happy about it too. So I'd say yes.... it's OK. :whistling
Rayne Posted November 28, 2005 Posted November 28, 2005 Interesting way of looking at it Marc....... :laughing
DarkChylde Posted November 28, 2005 Posted November 28, 2005 I guess fars the starving homless goes I personally think they should eat each other just so it decrease the population of humanity. This world is getting too crowded :grin
kellygrrrrrl Posted November 28, 2005 Posted November 28, 2005 I would want to be made into Hot Dogs - er - Kellydoggggs
Homicidalheathen Posted November 28, 2005 Posted November 28, 2005 Soilet green is people. So now you know. Can I have some musturd on that Kelly dog? Someone not too long ago told me if you lived in MI and ate beef in the 70's that you ate horse meat. Does horse taste like cow? He claimed to have some knowlege of this. He said there was a beef shortage and that horses were sold as such.......to us.
Homicidalheathen Posted November 28, 2005 Posted November 28, 2005 Actually I saw a special on this not too long ago. When the settlers first moved west there was some cannabalism.......and of coarse there is the plane crash story. I don't think I would be above this if I were starving.
Homicidalheathen Posted November 28, 2005 Posted November 28, 2005 http://www.truthbeknown.com/cannibal.htm
Crazed Vampyress Posted November 28, 2005 Posted November 28, 2005 well, im torn here... i have no moral issue with one human consuming another human being, cuz like you said, we bury perfectly good cuts of meat. on the other hand im also for 'thinning out the heard' i mean if we show people who cant figure out how to stay alive without eating other people that they can eat other people, what are we really doing for humankind? i think the people who should continue on to breed are the ones that figured out on their own "hey uncle louis died, and im hungry...."

Homicidalheathen Posted November 28, 2005 Posted November 28, 2005 I saw this. So watch what you ask for....it's true......people meat is sold in N Korea. Can we be far behind? One day America will be that over run. http://times.discovery.com/convergence/ins...ideo/video.html Scroll down and click on the cannabalism pic and watch the video. This is current and real and true.
kellygrrrrrl Posted November 28, 2005 Posted November 28, 2005 I could never even think about it. I mean If I was in a situation where I was absolutely starving and there was no other sources of food, I really do not know what I would do. But I sit here with an unrealistic view as to what it would be like if I were in that situation. I have been pretty hungry. I did eat dog food at a super low point in my life. I don't know if I could mentally get over the hump of being able to take that 1st bite. Can I chew on your finger?
phee Posted November 28, 2005 Author Posted November 28, 2005 What is the difference between eating a person and eating a cow... in the grand scheme of things
Homicidalheathen Posted November 28, 2005 Posted November 28, 2005 People taste like pork according to these N Koreans so I guess it is a matter of taste. I don't understand Hindus in the middle east starving because the street cows are sacred. I tell you I was raised around livestock and cows are dumb. EAT THEM!
kellygrrrrrl Posted November 28, 2005 Posted November 28, 2005 People have a concience - conscience - "KON-CHUS" (Dir ) People have memories, emotion etc.... Cows have a brain the size of my eyeball - ok maybe not that small... Cows Do NOT have a "Kon-Chus", or a memory, or the ability to have GUILT...Like me. :erm
Rayne Posted November 28, 2005 Posted November 28, 2005 What is the difference between eating a person and eating a cow... in the grand scheme of things <{POST_SNAPBACK}> A cow will not seek vengence on me shall I decide to injure him. ....not that I would.
phee Posted November 28, 2005 Author Posted November 28, 2005 A cow will not seek vengence on me shall I decide to injure him. ....not that I would. That is what they want us to think
Rayne Posted November 28, 2005 Posted November 28, 2005 That is what they want us to think <{POST_SNAPBACK}> They stalk us in our sleep, don't they? Night vision goggles and everything.....a cow on recon....I see it now.....
SomeDanGuy Posted November 28, 2005 Posted November 28, 2005 People have a concience - conscience - "KON-CHUS" (Dir )People have memories, emotion etc.... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Only until they're dead We're not talking about killing people here; just fully utilizing resources once the person is dead and it doesn't matter anyway. I'd be fine with it except for one thing - diseases. That's the main problem with cannibalism. We can eat most other animals without worrying too much, because most microbes that infect them are not able to infect humans. With widespread cannibalism, there would be massive outbreaks of disease like we'd never seen before.
