Walmart?

Starbucks?

HaliBurton?

CityBank?

Can you think of more? Are they actually evil? What are your thoughts?

I think they are corperations doing what corperations do... making money and giving thier share holders a fat profit while giving the customer a needed service. They just happen to have to be complete bastards to do it.

I can see that perspective

So does being a complete bastard qualify as evil?

I am an evil corporation. Okay, so I'm just evil ... sometimes ... but it counts, don't it?

I personally hate Delphi, but that's just because they're going to be shafting my father-in-law (he works for them). Also not a big fan of GM. Cutting 30000 jobs because they can't design a car that people actually want. I know, I know, they have high wages, health care costs, blah blah blah. Doesn't change the fact that no one wants a GM car.

I have no complaints with GM. I own a GM now.

Personally, I hate Ford. I do like the Mustang though ... :whistling ...

All things being equal, would you rather buy a Honda Civic that gets 40 MPG and will last for 200000+ miles or a Saturn Ion that gets about 30 MPG and has a mediocre reliability record? Something tells me you wouldn't choose the Saturn (or any other GM small car)...

Ehh ... neither. If I had that kind of money to buy a new car, I'd get a Mazda 3 - 5 door. :grin ... That's assuming a Mitsubishi Lancer Evo was out of my price range ...

... but I do like my few years old loaded Malibu much better than the brand new Honda Civic my dad had that had roll down windows ... My Malibu was a hell of a lot cheaper too. In the end, the Honda's engine probably would have lasted longer ... but replacing an engine isn't something I haven't done before. *shrug*

Citibank is by far the most evil. I used to work for them for years. They also have a ton of spinoff companies. One that most people are familar with is Primerica.

I was picked to help open a branch of Primerica in Madison Heights. Primerica is a very misleading company that uses something that is called a "pyrmid scheme". They try to turn their clients into employees to earn more profit. I soon had to leave my Primerica job and went back to Citibank because I could not mislead people who were in search of a better life. People would ask questions that I was not able to really give an answer to becasue I was simply not allowed to say certain things and I often felt like an idiot. So I had to turn the question around and beat around the bush. In recent times I have now left Citibank all together and I am much happier now.

The U.S. Government is not a corporation, it is just controlled by them.

It's a business. And it is corrupt.

Ya know what... Churches are evil corporations as well.

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

My grandfather, a "good Catholic" who went to mass every Sunday, worked his ass off for the church, and supported it whole-heartedly was fond of saying that the Catholic Church was "the biggest racquet in the world." :laughing

So, my question is, what makes these things evil?

And, if churches, governments, and corporations are all evil, what isn't evil? Are ANY governments, churches or corporations not evil? And what's the difference?
