Just when you think it can't get worse

Wayne came home from work tonight, walked through the door, and told me he missed me. For some bizarre reason, I decided to look out the window. I then proceeded to tell Wayne that he needed to go get the car. He asked me why. He noticed the look of horror on my face, and looked out the window. His car had drifted into a van.

OMFG! The car drifted into a neighbor's van. He slowly and carefully proceeded to get the car away from the van. You cannot possibly miss the damned dent in our Toyota Tercel. I don't know what to say. Have you ever had a moment where you don't know what to say? This would be mine. He swears that he put the emergency brake on and that it was in 1st gear. He's not a moron (all the time), and I'm sure that he was quite together when he got out of the car. I'm still laughing. I mean, what else am I supposed to do??

OMG!!! Was the van damaged?!?!?

Laughter helps. I was t-boned once, and me and the girl who hit me were filing the police report inside the cop car 'cause it was raining. She and I were going on like we were old girlfriends. The cop asked if we knew each other. I said, "No, but no bones are broken and nobody's bleeding - why get upset?"

Man, I hope you don't have much damage to deal with. That sucks!!

The van shows no physical signs of damage. Looking at the car today is painful. I'm just so pissed off.

a few years ago i was just plain busy had a million things to do i was planning a b-day party for my kids at the beach with all the fixing and i do mean all from decor to the bbq to feed 50 + people any how it was a crappy day dreary n rainy and i got ready with my youngest child in tow, to do some much needed last minute shopping i went out to find the battery on my van had died, so a friend came over to save me with jumper cable and we gotthe van started.

well as i said it was rainy n dreary so i had statshed Sebastian in the van to keep him "safe" n warm. well guess what the kids did Putthe damn van in gear just as i was taking the jumper cable off and the van lunged the opposite way as i was stnading, took out the kiddie pool and finally hit the house. I was so stunned n felt like such a waste as a mom for letting such a thing happen.

all in all no real damage, a nice dent in the van, the siding was smudged and had taken on a new color, the kids was fine as well as me n my freind.

Just one of those freak things that happen n you have no idea what went wrong or how it could happen but in the end when ya find out every one is ok it is kinda funnie i get a nice laugh out of it now.

just one of those kinda stories i though i would share.

and hearing about some one elses makes me feel a whole lat better about mine

Exactly how did it drift? on a hill or really really strong wind.

A slight hill. This is a royal bummer.

How bad is the dent? Is it creased? If not.. a wet plunger might pull it back out.

Posted

It's more than just a dent. I don't think a wet plunger's going to take care of this one.

i was wondering how the neighbor is reacting or does the neighbor even know..........

i guess for me the worst part would be having the neighbor all pissed at me cause that can lead in to all kinds of othe hassels.....(i have oen of those kind of neighbors)

Don't feel bad, I once stopped at the gas station in a hurry and forgot to put the car in park! I had hit it into nuetral instead and it rolled into a truck in front of me. There wasn't any damage and we all laughed it off but man did I feel like an ass!

We keep looking outside at the dent. The van got nothing by way of damage, but our car looks like shit.

I know how you feel...I have a brand new car that my ex rear ended a Jeep with. The hood looks like shit and I feel like shit driving it. He had no license so I couldn't claim the accident. I still owe $13,000 on the car. Trust me it blows...

Isn't he paying for what he did? It would come out of his hide, one way or the other.
