Onyx Posted November 21, 2007 Posted November 21, 2007 Sorry to resurrect such an old thread.... I just figured I'd mention that: After all this time, I'm still doing the same job, just for another company. I got a call earlier, thinking I was about to be fired from THIS job. Not for anything I did, but because business has been slow, and they've been letting people go. I got kicked upstairs. For a couple weeks, at least. Overall, it doesn't mean much, but for the time being it means that I get to NOT freeze to death during the day, I get to have a cushy office job, I get regular hours, I get a lunch break, I get a desk, and I get all the things normally associated with an 'office job' Which has been my goal since I was 14. I'll be turning 30 about a month from now..... This is somewhat exciting. For me, at least. I don't expect anyone else here to really care. I don't remember seeing this when you first posted it. As I was reading along the thread I almost stopped and posted that this may very well be one of the best things that has happened. It sounded like a very frustrating situation and sounded like you liked the work but not the setup, but then as I read more I see that is exactly what happened. Leaving a job for a better one has happened to me and others I've known several times and I've noticed it often works out for the very best, though it's hard to see it at the time. Glad to see things are going well.
Scary Guy Posted November 21, 2007 Posted November 21, 2007 www.stage3.com I've been working with them on www.nightmaresinema.com which has been a blast. Just thought I'd mention it.
Brenda Starrr Posted November 22, 2007 Posted November 22, 2007 Wow! A 2-year-old thread that has a good outcome! You should get drunk and celebrate now!
Brenda Starrr Posted November 22, 2007 Posted November 22, 2007 Oh, and "The Final Countdown" IS a badass song. I don't care what anyone says.
Scary Guy Posted November 22, 2007 Posted November 22, 2007 Oh, and "The Final Countdown" IS a badass song. I don't care what anyone says. Children of Bodom made it better. As did Laibach. I doubt anyone could play that song and have it suck. Although I probably shouldn't tempt fate.
