Watched a story this morning about a 7y.o. girl being beaten to death by her parents earlier this week. Breaks my heart that this happens. We need tougher laws to prevent this from happening anymore. No innocent child should go through this. :tear

You're right, Sooth . . . .But NO child, innocent or no, should have to go through this. Often times, young adults also end up being the victims of abuse. And while they may have needed punishment of some sort, extreme physical abuse is not the answer. There are other avenues.

I saw this as well. I feel like a big dad at school to so many kids these days. More and more kids come to school with issues at home. We do all we can but our power to help is limited.

Yes it is so upsetting. I wonder, did no one not notice anything???? I mean, I know I have turned in a few people.....hate to admit it but I have. I just find it hard to believe there was no sign. NO one noticed anything prior?
