livininxtcgoth Posted January 16, 2006 Posted January 16, 2006 so i've become quite handy with a sewing machine, and i make all kinds of clothes. almost half my wardrobe was made by yours truly, including all the formal/prom dresses i've worn. i'm even making my mother's wedding dress. earlier this evening i made a corset and skirt out of the same material. the picture i have dont really show the bottom of the skirt, but its kind of tattered and shaggy looking.. ish anywho i hope these pictures work
mallochai Posted January 16, 2006 Posted January 16, 2006 Neato! I wish my sewing machine wasn't so very many miles away from me. Too bad those pictures are so fuzzy. You have a very nice torso.
paradox Posted January 16, 2006 Posted January 16, 2006 how YOU doin? :grin er, i mean, nice outfit! :fear
n0Mad Posted January 16, 2006 Posted January 16, 2006 Cool. How are you at design work? I need a gypsy costume (with some specific qualities) and don't know shit about design and not much about sewing either. If I can find someone with mad skillz that's affordable, I'm going to commission the project.

I have a friend that's a seamstress and designs her own and others period clothing and she's very willing to work with your vision of what you want. I'd have to talk to her about taking a comission as she's already gearing up for the Mich Ren Faire this year, but I'm sure she'd at least consult with you. Sorry, I really wasn't trying to threadjack. Your outfit is quite lovely. The blue looks good on you with your complexion. Is it a fabric with lace over it? I can't quite tell.
Brenda Starrr Posted January 16, 2006 Posted January 16, 2006 That's very nice. I wish that I had the fortitude to take up sewing.
livininxtcgoth Posted January 16, 2006 Author Posted January 16, 2006 Is it a fabric with lace over it? I can't quite tell. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> actually in my neverending search for the coolest material i can find, i decided the sheets my mom bought for the room she made up for me at her house would totally rock as clothing. so i bought another set and i have one more twin sized sheet and a pillowcase left at my disposal :-p
