:devil This is definately a crock of shit, a friend told me that when he applied for a job, they asked him who he voed for. I never even heard of this kind of shit, and let alone it is no one's fuckin business who I voted for when it involves getting a job or not. I know if he said he voted for Kerry he would not be hired. Let me guess, you have to like The idiot thats in office now, the same idiot who pretty much wants to ruin the world or never be able to work again. I thought that was illegal to even ask let alone demand an answer when trying to get a job. If it was me, there would be one hell of a lawsuit in the works!!

I would say that I could not get out of work to vote.... problem solved.

As far as I know, there is nothing that they can ask related so sexuality, sexual inclinations, marital status (as far as the application and interview go), nor your religious nor your political preferences. They are not permitted to ask about anything other than what pertains to the job (Job skill sets, years in the field, etc).

Did your friend perhaps get asked this as a way of small talk to break the ice?

I had a boss actually say she wanted employee's who voted for Bush then proceeded to go around the room asking us. Two of us played dumb about politics and let her try to persuade us to vote her way. This was before his first term. I was shocked he won.

So now I just act like a preppy right wing republican christian to keep or get a job and laugh silently inside.

I am lucky though. My man has his own buisness now and aside from a little data entry here and there we are not too busy.......well he is but there is not much for me to do yet.

I was asked what color my eyes were at the end of a phone survey.....

It was about where I worked and what I did, and how many people worked there..

??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

I had an employer who tried to not let me out of work to vote in the 2000 election because I wasn't voting Gore.

It DOES go both ways.....

"How did you vote?"

"By secret ballot"

See? I don't mind answering anyone's questions =)

I have never known an employer to ever take such a personal interest in an employee. Who would even care about such a thing?

Some people are as fanatical about their politics as they are about their theology.
