Hellion Posted January 20, 2006 Posted January 20, 2006 :devil Some of these would probably make good movies: Grand Theft Auto, Vice City Burnout These are my picks
Slept with ghost Posted January 20, 2006 Posted January 20, 2006 i think there already is a vice city move its called boyz in tha hood
BlackHound Posted January 20, 2006 Posted January 20, 2006 Splinter Cell Condemned God of war But the people who made bloodrayne had fucked up a good name.
Falstaff Posted January 20, 2006 Posted January 20, 2006 There has never, nor will there ever be a good video game movie. None of them should be made. Supposedly, there's already a Splinter Cell movie in the works. As much as I am in love with the whole Splinter Cell series...there will NOT be a good movie made from it.
Blackmail Posted January 20, 2006 Posted January 20, 2006 I'm so waiting on "Pong: The Movie". <{POST_SNAPBACK}> With a story as complex as Pong, I see three movies and a pre-quel.
Fierce Critter Posted January 20, 2006 Posted January 20, 2006 Parasite Eve. And Silent Hill. The video game itself scared the shit out of me - I've been unable to bring myself to play the sequels. I would hope someone could make an equally disturbing movie. Did anyone see the Resident Evil movies? I never played the game, but the movies looked decent.
pharoh Posted January 20, 2006 Posted January 20, 2006 I remember parasite eve, great game, and has good movie potential, but not all of the game/movies are bad....Mortal Kombat was decent
StaticRob Posted January 21, 2006 Posted January 21, 2006 I saw Parasite Eve(It was made in Japan)It's kind of boring. It's based on the book more then the game. SIlent Hill --I can't wait for that to come out. I liked the Resident Evil movies. As long as Uwe Boll (bloodrayne, Alone in the Dark, House of the dead) doesn't direct any movies. They have a shot at being good.
DarkVampire Posted January 22, 2006 Posted January 22, 2006 Baldur's Gate lets see if they can make a D&D movie right this time. Bloodlines. This would make for a kick ass vampire movie set in the Vampire the Masquerade game setting.
n0Mad Posted January 22, 2006 Posted January 22, 2006 Baldur's Gate lets see if they can make a D&D movie right this time. Hell yeah! The game was awesome and would make a decent movie. Same with Neverwinter Nights. Why can't video game designers write movies instead of the losers who have been doing it? *shudders at the first two D&D movies* Bloodlines. This would make for a kick ass vampire movie set in the Vampire the Masquerade game setting. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I don't know. They screwed up with the TV series, so what makes you think a movie will be any better? (Even though I kinda liked the TV series. Chris Carter {X-Files} would've made a far better producer than Aaron Spelling, that's for sure.) I can't comment on Bloodlines as my computer isn't 1337 enough to play it. =( I did enjoy Redemption though. Great game plot, probably a poor movie.
Falstaff Posted January 22, 2006 Posted January 22, 2006 I'd like to see a Zork movie, based on the first one. I am a geek for admiting that.
Slept with ghost Posted January 22, 2006 Posted January 22, 2006 from fyron I'd still like to see an American McGee's Alice turned into a movie. Then again, that was a game based off of a book, so would that count? the movie of alice has been in the works since the game came out but the chances of it ever happening are about as good as the chances of the duke nukem movie Mortal Kombat was a POOR adaptation of a game to the big screen. It had great special effects, but did not do a good job of portraying the original story line from the game. actually the first mortal kombat is one of the better video game movies simply because it didnt try to have to much story from the game in it it was just mindless action which was what the game was the flaw with the second movie was that they tried to add in to many mortal kombat mythos and it failed
Blackmail Posted January 22, 2006 Posted January 22, 2006 PacMan the movie would be okay <{POST_SNAPBACK}> ask and you shall receive.

Selfless plug in, I'm an owner of a modding site for the BG games. End plug in. It would be an awesome movie if put it the right hands. Those clowns that did the other D&D movies was a joke.
DJ Nocker Posted January 23, 2006 Posted January 23, 2006 There has never, nor will there ever be a good video game movie. None of them should be made. Supposedly, there's already a Splinter Cell movie in the works. I love that damn movie, it was awesome. I will agree that most movies coping games do suck, but some are pretty cool. Its also vary hard to follow alot of video games without altering the story at least a little bit.
saechalyn Posted January 23, 2006 Posted January 23, 2006 Silent Hill comes out in April And, about as far away from that as you can get... There's a super mario bros. opera.
Slept with ghost Posted January 24, 2006 Posted January 24, 2006 yeah silent hill if that movie sucks im killing everyone in hollywood
saechalyn Posted January 24, 2006 Posted January 24, 2006 if that movie sucks im killing everyone in hollywood <{POST_SNAPBACK}> :laughing :laughing :laughing :laughing :laughing Well put.
