Dearborn's Arab community

I was thinking about this today --- with Dearborn having the second largest Arab community in the world (dubbed "the unofficial capitol of the Arab American community") could it be possible that this will offer the Detroit area protection against terrorist attacks? I mean think about it, do they wanna chance killing family? Or --- do the terrorists consider them infidels? (sp?)

Just a thought to mull over I suppose.

Most of the people that extremest Muslims kill are other Muslims... so if anything I doubt that protection would be the effect of the community... maybe even the opposite

Would anyone ever be able to tell from the before or after if Detroit was attacked? Now this is not counting the clean up Detroit went thru for the Super Bowl coming. I mean in a normal everyday circumstance. With as trashed as it normally is its possable that its protected for fear it maybe weeks, months or decades before anyone noticed that it had been attacked.

I was thinking the other day, what would happen if terrorists came to Detroit? Here's how it played out in my head.

Osama: Let's attack Detroit.

Lackey: I'm afraid that's not going to work, sir.

Osama: Why? Will Canada come to protect them?

*lackey and Osama laugh until they cry*

Lackey: Good one, sir.

Osama: We'll bomb out the roads! We'll put craters in them so that they are impassable!

Lackey: I'm afraid somebody's already done that, sir.

Osama: What? Why wasn't I notified? Fine, then, we will destroy their sources of industry, they won't be able to produce anything and they won't be able to afford their precious oil. Ha!

Lackey: Also already taken care of.

Osama: All right, they think they can beat me at my own game? We will corrupt their government officials! We will offer them bribes so they will do OUR bidding!

Lackey: Yeah, um, also done.

Osama: This is starting to piss me off. We will divide them! If a people are divided, they will crumble! Yes, that's it! We will divide the people of Detroit along say, oh I'll pick an easy one, RACE. Yes! Blacks will hate whites and whites will hate blacks!

Lackey: *sighs* Sir, this is getting old.

Osama: They did that, too? No, wait, wait, I'm not done yet! I'm a brilliant revolutionary, dammit! I'll think of something...okay, I've got it. We will simply go door to door and shoot them. It might take some time, but it will get the job done. What do you have to say about that, lackey?

Lackey: I'm afraid we'd be outgunned.

Osama: Ugh. This is hopeless. What do you think of Toledo?

So, yeah, I guess living in Detroit DOES make me feel safer. =)

Plus, what are the chances a Terrorrist has family here? It could be so.......but probably not. Most of them are just normal people trying to carve out a living like anyone else. Not all caldeans are terrorists or have terrorist ties.

I worked K9 Bomb Dog duty here in Detroit as a trained Veteran.

not only are there dangerous cells here - but one of America's most important financial networks is downtown in the form of a super computer. And it is a target - because through this netwok our government is able to track and follow money transactions of every sort, which is a key component in tracing terroist cells.

Detroit - as raggedy as it seems, is a ripe plumb waiting to be picked.
