I used to dance there every saterday, me and my friends i brought would be the only ones, we got whatever we requested played, it was a blast, not to mention the owner gave me like 70 free VIP passes. Now what the hell am I supposed to do with those? grrrrr

Yes, it sucks but.....I understand. Luna did the same thing after a raid a few years back. Keeps the cops away.....less chance of loosing your lisence as minors will sneak a drink here and there.

Huh, I wonder if it'll be like that for my birthday on 2/18 or if it'll still be 18+. I hope it's 18+ because I have a lot of 18-20 year old friends who are planning on coming.

LUNA has always been 21+. The police issue a couple of years ago was due to packing the place way over capacity. These days the door is counted and people have to wait in line once we reach 200 people inside.

The bar I managed in Colorado started as 18+ but there were so many problems that after a few months we switched to 21+. Even then there were problems so we bought a brand new state of the art ID Scanner and hired a full time door man. Even then we had problems, the least of which were two 19 year olds and a 20 year old who managed to worm their way in, buy beers, then report back to the cops running the sting they were part of that we suck. We got off easy on that one but the headaches piled up to the point where the owner decided he had enough and he sold the place.

So, yeah ... it sucks Mephistos went 21+ but I understand why and fully support their decision. It's too bad a handful of fuckheads who think they're special and try to get away with shit they shouldn't be that it ruins it for everyone else. If you're one of those who even sipped a drink in Meph's while being under 21, then stop being a fuckhead, fuckheads.

I can imagine that they started out as 18+ just until they got enough 21+ business to sustain themselves. Now they also have a large contingent of underagers that already know the place and will be coming in once they turn 21. It is a very smart plan to do that...if that was the plan at all.
