I DO!

Pro's are it isn't windows and is a true UNIX (that is, not a Linux). It is FREE (as the name would suggest). Finally it's open source, so if you want to recode it or change things, you can. All you have to do is know how to code (which I don't, so I haven't). I have however recompiled my kernel and done some other neat crap with it.

Con's are the learning curve going from a windows based environment (which I grew up on) to a UNIX based one. Everything works the same but differently. Also the fact that it doesn't have the application size windows does and you can't really run windows programs on it (unless you use WINE, which stands for WINE Is Not an Emulator and can run a lot of things).

One of the best things it has is the MAN(ual) pages and the handbook, which tell you everything you might want to know about the OS.

Best thing to do is to find an older computer and install it on that. Then mess around with it and don't worry about screwing that system up. If you do, it's an older computer with no "mission critical" data on it so who cares?

Nope... Just being bored. Thought I would try something different. BSD isn't really Unix.. hasn't been for a long time. But thats only a point of trivia... Anyway.. I ran PC-BSD for a couple days.. didn't like it. I'm trying SUSE now, which is Novel's version of Linux... not caring much for that either....

BTW, I'm running it on my laptop. My desktop box is a dedicated gamer that never goes online except for updates...
