Valentines Day

I got an engagement ring with a matching wedding band. He also bought his wedding band. I'm a little confused about this. Well, not really confused.. I guess mixed emotions is more like it.

He said he wants me to wear the engagement ring from now on and that we ARE engaged. He said he want's to marry me more than anything. I felt he was very serious when he was giving me the ring.. almost like he was getting all choked up.

Ok.

But he still can't say I love you.

I think everything will be ok. I know he loves me. He show's me this everyday with the way he talks to me and his actions. It's kinda like that movie Ghost, where Patrick Swayze's character doesn't say I love you to the wife but instead he say's "ditto." I think I can live with that and he IS making progress in our relationship so I have to give him that.

So anyway, I'm engaged! Officially! :grin

The more I read about this, the more I think it doesn't really matter in the long run, not in this case.

Maybe he will say it in time, and maybe he won't, but so many men have said "I love you" and they do not ever even mean it.

He just showed you and the whole world and everyone who sees you wearing his ring that he loves you.

awwww, and on Valentine's day! I'm just all teary-eyed. This made MY day too, really. Congratulations to you and to your husband-to-be.

B that is great !!! =) Because it doesnt matter if he cant say it ... as long as he shows you he loves you that should be all that matters. As long as you feel loved honey. That is the most wonderful feeling in the world. Dont give up on that just because he cant say it. It better then him saying it and treating you like shit.

Anyway, the more I think about it the more positive I feel about "us."

Talk to him about it MQ, if you two are in love you can talk about anything. It may be that all it takes is that he realizes that it matters to you......
