Someone mentioned they were making another movie.....but pre-Freddy...like before he was burned???????

I found out that they are doing some production work on it but they haven't released anything that was official. Bummer!

You know...my good pal is the original Leatherface, Gunnar Hansen, and when that comes out he'll just be a superstar all over again like when that awful remake came out. You should have seen the fans showin him love in NY OMG it was so COOL

If i'm not mistaken it has been reported that Robert Englund himself has stated he would put the glove back on if Wes Craven did the right script. But as far as a Freddy prequel happening I say its pretty much dead in the water.

If they did a Freddy prequel, I'd go see it. The only Freddy movie I didnt see was Freddy VS Jason. I saw the first 20 minutes or so of it and the acting was so shitty, and I was happy to be seeing SAW that night, so W00!!

Freddy vs Jason vs Kane would be a good movie I think

Kane was so fucking bitter about being dropped for that episode he wouldn't even discuss it when I last spoke to him so I won't be bringing that up again unless Leatherface is there to tel him how much he knows what that's like.

Gunnar did NOT like the Texas Chainsaw remake and how they dolled up Leatherface and he said so on camera & interviews also.

Now they are writing up a damn prequel for the character and naturally they won't cast Gunnar since he's the old man now and all they will do is make him world famous once again like they did when they stole his part with that other youngin' the last time. Rumor was the same brat is on for that part as well. Grrrrr.

Why all the damned remakes and sequels and prequels?

There are scripts just lying around waiting to become living films but everyone is doing this remake/prequel crap so we're missing them! Thank God for Lions Gate Films...they live for making the risky naughty films. Look up thier catalogue on IMDB you'll see. :grin
