Hellion Posted February 24, 2006 Posted February 24, 2006 :devil I wonder how much time it will take before the Three Gorges Dam in China will be complete, all I know is that there are going to be a whole lot of people being relocated and alot of China's history will be under water.

pomba gira Posted March 12, 2006 Posted March 12, 2006 In the process of getting ready to move I just found the "Spirit of Mega" issue of WIRED magazine ('98), which featured a piece on the Three Gorges project. Fascinating stuff. As I recall, a main point of controversy around the project was that it's only projected to be functional for about 40 years, due to the extreme sludginess of the water. Wow.
