That looks like a flipping nightmare.

Speaking as someone who's driven traffic circles, albeit not in the UK, they can be harsh.

HW, what's a "give way"? Is that akin to the US's "shoulder" on the side of the road?

I haven't driven one THAT big, but they're not that hard. They quiet fun actually. You can drive in circles for HOURS and not be lost all at the same time!!!! :woot:

Sounds like our "yield" to me. Giveway (to oncomming trafic)

There are a few here in the Metro-Detroit area...I've been on them, couldn't tell ya where they're at though...

They seems very easy going actually...the one I was on was pretty heavily traveled at the time, and it went smooth! I think there are some in Oakland county SOMEWHERE? Somewhere.

I thought the idea of a roundabout was to have everyone go in one direction to prevent chaos and congestion and you just loop around until your turn. This one has traffic going both ways. Now that's chaos. And what's with the little roundabouts at the mouth of each road? That's odd.

I can think of two traffic circles around Detroit. One is in Brighton and the other is where M-53/Van Dyke and 18 Mile all come together.
