Husband outta work

My Husband works for EDS. Since the time I have known him he has worked in Troy, Warren and Lansing. Well they are deciding to close the Nerve Center which is the office he works in and send the work elsewhere so come June 6th he will be out of a job. He is hoping to maybe get another position within the company in a different office or possibly work for another company. He will get a nice severance package if he stays till it closes...about 3 months pay. He would ideally like to start a new job and stay at EDS till the office is closed if possible.

If anyone knows of any jobs around Lansing...Auburn Hills anywhere around there let me know. He has many skills and does alot of admin. work there and people management as well as customer support.

Oh boy, do I feel your pain. Wayne lost his job last week because he left a client site to go to my aunt's viewing. I mean, hey-we've only been together about 7.5 years and my family is his family, too. He even told his boss that morning that he not only had a viewing, but was coming down with the flu.

So, he called out on Tuesday. So sick that he slept for 15 hours! Wayne doesn't call out, even if he's vomiting, so I know that he was sick. He called his boss on Wednesday to tell him that he'd be at the client site by 9. His boss fired him.

Thank God. I needed him for the move.

I feel for you and your husband. It'll get better.

Yeah... I know what that feels like. Sorry Aralis. I heard on the radio that unemploment fell a little bit... but it still sucks.

Yeah. That, and to disappoint my family by not coming to the viewing. He is very much loved by my family. It happened the week we moved, too.

Wayne told me that his boss told him (referring to me) "It's your job or hers. Pick one."

He just told me this tonight, over dinner. His boss even told Unemployment that he said it!! What an ass!!
