Bush: Port Deal Collapse Sends Bad Message

Seems like he has some strange standards... All of the mistrust and paranoia that has grown under his administration (Patriot Act, Homeland Securety) and now we are sending a bad message? when people are acting as paranoid as he has fostered?

How he gets away with saying and doing things one day.... and then some time later making a completely contradictory statement or action.... is totally beyond me. Has half this country buried there heads in the sand?

I heard a segment on the radio the other day about social conservatives. These particular people sounded brainwshed, in my opinion. Not to say that they're all like that but... Eeesh!! Scary.

He is kind of a flip flopper... first he likes the Bin Ladens, then he dosen't, and yet he flys the whole family out of the country. First he says that he will avoid war at all costs, then he well dosen't.... etc...

1. He liked the Bin Laden's only when little was known about him except that he was fighting our enemy at the time, the Soviet Union.

2. He did not fly the whole family out of the Country, you've been watching too many Michael moore films.

3. When did he say he would avoid war with Iraq? I think he said he would not invade iraq if Saddam complied with UNSCUM, which he never did.

I don't like Bush's policies much either, but the anti-Bush stuff in this forum seems based on watching some anti-American documentary on IFC or something.

As for the ports, Bush actually has this one right. All the experts I've read say this is a non issue - this will not endanger anyone. The only reason people are objecting to this is because it is an Arab company.
