that's similar to the thought about "if you're travelling at the speed of light, and fire a gun, is the bullet now travelling faster than light?"

i'll write more later - too busy at work for "deep thought"

The bullet goes out the gun, then you overtake it and kill yourself... :laughing

I love relativity... n' theorectical physics.... n'stuff

Faster than Light Travel is only "impossible" within the current Laws of Physics. The Laws of physics, to be blunt, didn't exist yet. In fact, according to the Inflation theory there is more than one universe... sorta... More to the point, there are areas of space as large as the viewable universe that exist with their own laws of physics. They are for all intent and purpose, different universes.

This is true.... tacions move faster then light as they are emitted from supernovas.... and according to traditional physics they are moving backward in time.... which is well.... yeah

Dude, seriously......

place your faith where you will.  thats cool.

but nothing that ANY of us claim to beleive is foolproof down to the upteenth percentile.  there are just as many scientific holes in the theory of evolution as their are in creationism.....nobody can PROVE anything.

next - I aint no country fuck.  nor am I anybody's boy.  nor am I ignorant.  nor am I naive.  nor am I inexpereinced.  Nor is my head in the sand.  Nor do I fear you or society or anyone - I do what i do.

Along the way I've seen some things, done some thigns, searched out some things....and I am a firm beleiver in God and that we are a created species.  That doesent mean that I'm better than you and that doesent mean that I think your off your rocker or that your an ignorant idiot or damned or any stupid thing you'd like to throw......those words never come out of my mouth because I dont think them.

However I have still made my choice unapologetically.  It is MINE to make.  Just like your is yours to make.  I will not take shots at you for it.

dont take shots at me.

or my kind.

or what you may THINK - is my kind.

Not cool Johnny.  Not Cool.

I apologize for making some one mad at my words not meant as a personal attack it just bothers me that people want not to teach evolution when there is evidence that proves we have evolved. Be it as it may not all links in the chain have been found but enough to prove we have evolved. I also believe it is wonderful for a person to have religious belief's and a firm grasp on their own spiritual path, in fact I encourage it with the clients I work with for it is easier to help someone when they have faith. I believe something had a hand in our creation but it was a lot longer ago then 6000 years. Where did all these freakin dinasours bones come from anyways? The bible or kuran or any other religious text was wrote by man even though it may have been divinly inspired, it was still wrote by men. It just seems really hard for me to believe everything just pooped into existance one day. I was raised a catholic and have been to church and have read the book and done what all good christians do but when I began to think for myself I started asking questions and looking for answers. It is not that i don't believe in a higher power or guiding force in nature its just seems more plausible about evolution. I did not mean to put anybodies religious belief's down. I encourage you to do what you do it is your right and i love ya for it. As I said before not meant as a personal attack on you and yours. I also believe school is for learning and religion should be taught at church or whatever building you go to to pray.

Homo sapiens neandertalensis and Homo sapiens sapiens existed at the same time. We think they both evolved from Homo Erectus. We have transitional records that show Homo Erectus slowly evolving (over 300-400 thousand years) into Homo sapiens neandertalensis, but Homo sapiens sapiens (Cro-Magnon Man) just kinda popped into existance 30-35 thousand years ago.

Dark I believe it was aliens who came down from outer space and boned some of our acestors and they are the missing link you are looking for. .........

Boy I don't pay attention to something i wrote a while back and it has stirred up all kinds of shit......... :confused

Actually, there are a great many people that think that very thing.

It could be worse. They could be pushing Scientology.

People who take religion too far will always plague society. It's the easiest excuse to push what we want on other people. It isn't the only excuse, however. Look at the stupid moves by people claiming that things violate the separation between church and state. If they want to remove church from state, get Bush out of office :p . Put in good old Schwarz, he'd run the country better!

The sad part is that catholicism itself doesn't push its teachings on anyone. It supports evangalism, but its organizations outside of the Papacy that organize voting movements. And a lot of the Christian intolerance comes from people not following church teachings, or deciding that their religious beliefs cover everything. Like gay marriage, because of course state marriages are a perfect place for the application of religious beliefs.

I'm a practicing Catholic myself, but I don't believe in much of the dogma. I love the core teachings, as Jesus was a rebel and far more tolerant than the majority of Christians ever will be.

I think people have too-little faith in people. I was taught evolution in school. I was taught lots of things in school. Doesn't mean I believe any of it to be true. I guess everyone thinks kids are just robots who do and believe anything anyone with authority tells them. Personally I think it's wrong, what they're doing in that school. I think they need to teach more things like that in school and let the kids decide for themselves. Maybe I was a smart kid but I knew even at the age of 7 not to believe everything I hear.
