Kids say the damndest things

recent conversations with my toddler:

we had this conversation right after she had asked for several things for supper, she ate a couple bites of everything then said she was done -

Me - Boo, you know you're not getting anythign else to eat if you don't finish the things you asked for. No more dinner, so snacks, no nothing but drinks

Boo - (slaps her knee with her palm) MUDDER! Sometimes you make it so hard not to say bad words!

we had this one at my mother's yesterday while I was sitting at the kitchen table with my mother ( Boo calls my mom Deedee)

Boo - (from down the hall) Come help me with my game!?!?

Me - Hold on a second

Boo - MOM! Is your name Deedee? I don't think so!!

apparently she wanted her Deedee to help!

my aunts funeral services were last night. all my sitters were there, so i had to take the baby. i probably would have taken her anyway, we usually take the kids with us.

any how, my little angel as up to her old tricks again.

(my aunts real name was carolyn jane, but we all called her jayne and nothing else)

the minister says:

we all knew her as jayne even though her real name was carolyn............

(boo interrupts loudly)

hey!!! her name is aunt jayne, mister!!!!

the minister says:

we can all see jayne's body laying in that casket, but we know she's not really there............

(boo interrupts loudly)

hey!?!? look!! she's laying right there, mister!!!

the minister says:

but we all know that jayne is not really with us, and her soul has moved on to eternal life............

(at this point boo gasps as loud as possible from shock and everybody can hear her)

the minister asks if anybody qwould like to stand up and tell a story about jayne:

boo jumps off of my lap and raises her hand

not to mention that she had LOUD gas and farted through most of the service sending the rest of the kids into waves of giggles as well as some of the older people

we spent quite a bit of time with mommy's hand over boo's mouth!

it's been a long time since i was so happy to see a kid fall asleep!!
