kellygrrrrrl Posted March 29, 2006 Posted March 29, 2006 Rubbing alcolhol, then a heavy dose of Unscented sensitive skin "oil of olay" face lotion.
Guest Megalicious Posted March 29, 2006 Posted March 29, 2006 I use Loreal Pure zone pore unclogging scrub cleanser, its not to heavy with the gritty exfoliating beads, so it doesnt leave my face feeling like i just took a piece of sand paper to it. I follow up with a oil free moisture by neutrogena .. with out spf, somehow mositures with spf leave my face feeling oily then before I washed it . Then a protient lift by Roc. Just a little because it to can make my face feel so greasy! eww .. and then a light layer of SPF 15. I have good skin though ... I always have. But I do take good care of it.
kellygrrrrrl Posted March 29, 2006 Posted March 29, 2006 A shotgun.Sorry, that wasn't even funny. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> ( I chuckled a little bit.....)

Brenda Starrr Posted March 29, 2006 Posted March 29, 2006 Rubbing alcolhol, then a heavy dose of Unscented sensitive skin "oil of olay" face lotion. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> NO rubbing alcohol. It breaks down the cellular structure of your skin. That ages you more quickly! Your skin is "purging." I'm going through it right now, because I'm using new products. My pores are clearing out. That's what yours are doing. If it goes on for two more weeks, I'd be concerned. I've only been dealing with it for one week, and it's beginning to subside.
kellygrrrrrl Posted March 29, 2006 Posted March 29, 2006 Makes me age faster...? Ok...wow...didn't know that.... =( I only use it when I am breaking out...which is not often..... Typically I will use a regular bar soap - usually oatmeal bar soap. Thanks for the heads up Bren....I am terrified of aging..... well getting dun dun dun...wrinkles.
kellygrrrrrl Posted March 29, 2006 Posted March 29, 2006 You're so goth. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Nah....just easily amuzed....

Soulrev Posted March 30, 2006 Posted March 30, 2006 ProActiv. It really does work. It takes a couple weeks to work after you first use it but then it starts clearing it up really well.. For me I was more of the oily skin person so I don't use the lotion it comes with.. The basic kit is 3 bottles - Cleanser, Toner, and Lotion. I just use the cleanser and toner, and not 2 times daily like the program suggests, just once a day, and my skin has been clear.. It's expensive though.
Brenda Starrr Posted April 1, 2006 Posted April 1, 2006 ProActiv. It really does work. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Sadly, it doesn't work for everyone. I've seen people who have had their skin aggravated by it. I'll tell you what works well without stripping your skin, and it's inexpensive: Cetaphil Cleanser. Dermatologists recommend this cleanser the most. It won't strip the moisture out of your skin, but it WILL remove oil. It really is one of the best cleansers around.

Hellheart Posted April 20, 2006 Posted April 20, 2006 I have greater problems than just blackheads. I tend to use the clearasil bronzing lotion to simply cover up the ugly ones. If I'm going somewhere I want to look good at, I'll use a liquid cover-up and then brush on powder to eliminate the shine. I love being able to wear makeup as a guy, otherwise I'd be totally fucked I use a scrub to remove dead particles and dirt, and I use a jelene wash about mid-day to remove oil until I get my hands on the much easier-to-use swabs. I also use whatever system we have on hand on the odd chance it actually helps. The only thing that's significantly worked for me is an antibacterial from the dermitologist. Which created all sorts of intestinal problems. So I'd rather just cover up the worst or all of it and pretend it doesn't exist.
Miranda Posted April 20, 2006 Posted April 20, 2006 ( I chuckled a little bit.....) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Hehe right... abit? I laughed pretty damn hard.
Miranda Posted April 20, 2006 Posted April 20, 2006 Did you know potatoes cut open, like slices work for blackheads? I shit you not.
