Head Wreck Posted March 30, 2006 Posted March 30, 2006 nch have a range of software, but wavepad is free and good for such things http://www.nch.com.au/wavepad/faq.html
DJTodd Posted April 7, 2006 Posted April 7, 2006 Winamp will do that if you change the output module to an mp3 encoder, but the easiest solution i've found is using Audiograbber (freeware) with the LAME 3.96 codec pack. You just click the file tab, pick "Make MP3..." and point it at a .wav file. You can choose where Audiograbber dumps the new mp3s, and with the decoder controls, your bitrate, CBR vs VBR, quality, etc. Audiograbber is my favorite CD ripping software of all time. I use it at the club to grab material for shows, etc, so I have them in MP3 format, which makes the music easier to control and mix. Here are the direct download links for Audiograbber 1.83 Audiograbber Setup (.exe) and the link for the LAME encoder (copy lame_enc.dll into the audiograbber directory) LAME 3.96.1 Stable (.zip) This should do what you need and a whole lot more... Todd
