Nevaeh Posted April 4, 2006 Posted April 4, 2006 i'm in need of a sewing machine...got too many projects in my head, and my machine is back home in TN at my mom's... soooo, if anyone knows of someone getting rid of onefor cheap(or free) or if you have one laying around collecting dust that would be swell. preferably one that is in good working order. -thanx
sass_in_the_pants Posted April 5, 2006 Posted April 5, 2006 I don't have one, but you might want to try freecycle.org. Youd be surprised what people are willing to unload.
Killer_Bunnie Posted April 5, 2006 Posted April 5, 2006 I think it's Kmart that has one for under $30 this week. that one is small and goes on sale every once in a while, I plan on getting it next time it is.

My mother is professional semestress by trade and I do a bit of mending and altering myself. I'm sure she may have an extra or know where one can be had very cheap that isnt some knock off crap. TLS

kellygrrrrrl Posted April 6, 2006 Posted April 6, 2006 Hi I have a sewing maching that is just sitting and collecting dust. It has been used a total of 2 times ever. It is an older Singer...(I think) I try to use it, and the thread gets tangled up...I think I just don't know how to thread it........ Although I was told that is common when the "tensioner" needs to be tightened or something to that affect???? I am far too lazy to take it in for a tune up. Want to make an offer? I have to make sure tha my man w/b ok w/ it too.....
Nevaeh Posted April 7, 2006 Author Posted April 7, 2006 word. if he's cool with it, i'd be more than happy to take it off your hands. i'm terrible at making offers, so just let me know how much you would want.
