I thought I'd finally break down and sign up for this forum

rather than watching it from afar as a lurker when something

interesting was posted here.

Let me introduce myself, my name is Todd and I've been

in and around 'The Scene' since around 1990, visiting mainly

City Club, Labyrinth, 3D's/Groove Room, and Mephisto's.

For the past two years or more, I've been DJing at

Mephisto's on the 2nd level on Friday and Saturday nights.

I also occasionally DJ over at Vile's Place after hours on

Saturdays after Mephisto's. I enjoy DJ'ing most of the time,

despite the usual drama and egos that one has to deal with

when working around bands, promoters, burlesque acts

and the like...I enjoy doing audiovisual sets where I can

play music videos on the screen I've set up there, but it's

also great to dig deep in the collection and play music only.

My collection of music videos is around 50GB and growing.

My music collection is around 230GB and growing as well.

When I'm not DJ'ing I work selling plumbing supplies,

managing the company's catalogs and databases, and doing

whatever I need to do to make a living and maintain my

company. Business sucks at the moment, but I'm hoping

Detroit will grow out of this economic funk we're in.

I'm 36, single, and live with two felines who mean the

world to me. Their names are Phoebe and Baalzebubba.

Bubba is a goth cat, he's 100% black and evil to the core.

Phoebe is a longhaired female who can't decide if I'm her

mate or her mama, but either way she's the most loving

animal I've ever met. When I'm not with my cats, I'm

usually at the computer doing something. Let's just say

that I'm an old school computer geek. I got my first

machine back in 1979, and it's been a labor of love ever

since. My interests include but aren't limited to medicine,

psychology, technology, anthropology, and lots of other

'ologies'.
