in reading this article, this section jumped out at me...

"RNA interference  can stop biological viruses because viruses are basically genes wrapped in protein, and by suppressing that genetic information, you can actually stop a virus with RNA interference."

am i reading this right? we currently have the technology to produce a cure for the common cold, as well as any other viral infections?

Sorta... we have the begining stages... still lack complete control and the ability to stop them without destroying them. programing is incomplete too.

We've actually had it for quite some time. However it's more profitable to keep treating it over and over than to cure it completely.
