Miranda Posted April 15, 2006 Posted April 15, 2006 Is there any particular thing or any type of situation that makes your feel very uneasy? I don't like to be around people who are extremely drunk. It stems from being around an alcoholic step-grandfather. Things always started to get chaotic when he would be piss drunk.
Head Wreck Posted April 15, 2006 Posted April 15, 2006 upset people. i cant empathise with that tbh, never been truly upset as i've seen some people. when i came home to find an my GF at the time on the floor in a feotal position crying for her mother it scared the shit out of me. more than the prospect of falling out the side of a helecopter did back in 2003
Homicidalheathen Posted April 15, 2006 Posted April 15, 2006 Pushy sales people. I will walk right out and not buy or go someplace else. I can make up my own mind, thanks. You'll get your damn commision.
TygerLili Posted April 15, 2006 Posted April 15, 2006 Being around people who are militantly religious and try to force their beliefs on me.
bean Posted April 15, 2006 Posted April 15, 2006 Militantly religious people who try and push their beliefs on me. Pushy sales people - I have a hard time making up my mind as it is without some sales person all up in my business. Pushy people in general. Oh and public speaking is out of the question, or being put on the spot in front of a large group of people.
phee Posted April 15, 2006 Posted April 15, 2006 Large groups of people.Militant Athiest. So Militant Christians/Muslims don't make you uncomfortable? only the Athiests....
The_Dark Posted April 15, 2006 Posted April 15, 2006 Why are you asking me that? How is that any differnt than you saying Bible thumpers? to answer though... Militant Athiest bother me because they have no sense of faith, anyone else who does is some form of sub-human in thier eyes. Somehow, having faith, in anything at all, means that your not as evolved, cultured or intelligent. I've not met one yet that didn;t think they were better than everyone that had Faith.

I have never been personally accosted by militant athiests, so I don't know if I would be uncomfortable, bible thumpers was like every other day at EMU... And Athiests do have faith... they have faith that there is no God. And that is making a generalization about all Atheists... (unless you are refering to just the militant ones, in which case I apologize)
LuluVox Posted April 15, 2006 Posted April 15, 2006 Seeing people get so angry they throw things. I immediately huddle into myself like a child.
TygerLili Posted April 15, 2006 Posted April 15, 2006 I agree, I do not like having anyone try to force their beliefs on me, be they Christian, Muslim, Atheist, whatever. But I've never personally had an Atheist come up to me on the street and try to convert me. (edited because I can't type)

The_Dark Posted April 15, 2006 Posted April 15, 2006 Neither have I, but, as this thread proves... Having Faith is looked down on by those that have none.
phee Posted April 15, 2006 Posted April 15, 2006 Neither have I, but, as this thread proves... Having Faith is looked down on by those that have none. I have found the opposite is true... but since I am aganostic.... maybe the militant christians tried twice as hard...
AstralCrux Posted April 15, 2006 Posted April 15, 2006 Parents hitting their kids and then the kid crys. Thank god I can handle even hearing it at stores now. I used to have to leave the damn store. It still creeps me out.

(unless you are refering to just the militant ones, in which case I apologize) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Actually, it depends on what kind of Atheist you are referring to. There is more than one kind, as I've had to point out more than once. There is 'strong' Atheism, which is the more traditional idea people hold of Atheists; this is active belief that a deity does not (or in some cases CANNOT) exist. Then you have 'weak' Atheism, the doctrine I subscribe to. 'Weak' Atheists simply choose not to believe in deities.
Hellion Posted April 15, 2006 Posted April 15, 2006 :devil Liars and shit talkers, people who get off on dishonesty.90% of society.
Reaper Posted April 15, 2006 Posted April 15, 2006 Damn you people get deep in your discomforts. All that I can say is that I get uncomfortable when I am in a public stall trying to stock the pond and someone opens your door cause the locks are fucked. This happened to me recently.

I'd venture to say that more often than not, I'm lumped in with those very same bible thumpers and militant god-lovers .... the same ones who say I'm not a "REAL" beleiver because of the way I act, speak, and who I associate with.

Morbid Side Posted April 16, 2006 Posted April 16, 2006 It has to be holy rollers. I'm sorry but you expect me to follow through with your beliefs and the lord is my sheppard. I don't go by thy book, and I am not anyones disciple. Think again. I ward them off every chance I get. I wish they would stop being so damn sanctimonious towards me. Another has to be the general public of where I work. But I won't get into that.
