i apologize - let me correct a previous statement... i made this comment before -

you would deny freedom of speech to certain individuals/groups, based on (*insert deciding body here*) opinion of their rhetoric?

from what i'm seeing now, the opinion of their stance isn't the issue. i'll rewrite my statement, with my new understanding...

you would deny freedom of speech to certain individuals/groups, based on whether or not they can afford their own police protection & city cleanup?

in k'zoo, we recently had a situation where the homeless were demonstrating for (fair treatment, i think? i didn't catch much of the report) anyway, with your line of thinking, you would have denied their demonstration simply due to the fact they couldn't afford it? and does that imply that only the "rich" deserve free speech and freedom of assembly? because that's what i'm getting from your posts, and in my *opinion*, that just plain stinks... :erm

::: Snickers :::  Amen to that one.

I believe that they have just a right to say their shpeel as much as we do.  However, these racist pricks, if that's what they're rallying for, arent going to be heard most likely.

These people arent promoting tolerance, therefore, who should care?

It's when things get violent that police get more work and shit costs more money.....

:devil Cowards they are.

oh the conflictions on this one... Being a student of the Weimar period, i know what happens when various approaches are taken toward "real" "Nazi" movements (this group of morons is not the NSDAP I heard their leader talking on NPR and he was far less articulate/intelligent than any Nazi/KKK guy that Springer ever had on as a guest)

As much as I would like to shut them up, stomping on their "rights" (they pronounce it "RATS") will only give them more support. I do like the Hamtrammack idea proposed by blackmail for sheer gratification factor. I have to admit, I would love to bag me a few Nazis... but that will never happen. Unfortunately, the USA will not allow a nice big Nazi vs. "everyone who hates them" brawl like Germany does. There was a nice one in 1995 on hitlers birthday which involved more than 1,000 bat weilding nazis and "communists" (in reality there were a few uniofrmed communists who were more vocal than the rest of the crowd)... the german police let the melee go on for about 20 minutes since the Nazis were outnumbered 2-1. When the police decided the nazis had been punished enough, they fired in a buttload of teargas, turned loose 40-50 police dogs and then weighed into the crowd with stun sticks, shields and night clubs.

the next day all three groups declared victory and then visited their members who were in the hospital.

Did it solve anything? No, probably not. But everyone who got to crack a Nazi skull was quite satisfied.

I'm thinking I'm going to be moving to AZ, soon! Can't wait! I friggin' love it here! The heat doesn't bother me at all and the best part? NO SNOW!!! (S.N.O.W. - Shit  No One Wants)   Been staying in Bullhead City where the kids and grandkids live. Next, we're going to the wife's cousin's which is a ways North of Kingman, in the middle of nowhere, where we actually plan to move.   I really like Bullhead. It's a nice little town. Not overcrowded like Colorado Springs has become, at all. Very light traffic, reasonable prices on everything, low taxes, etc. The river offers a lot to do, with a lot of beaches and campgrounds all around it.   But yeah even though we've been over 110º-115º F just about every day,  I can handle it!  What I can't handle anymore, is snow and being cold. Just tired of it. Give me the desert over a blizzard any day!

Nope, we wasn't doing anything. I didn't want to go by myself.  I ended up doing karaoke here. It would of been a perfect day to go, though.
