Sorry I haven't been around as of late. I've gotten totally swamped with all my coursework. I loathe the end of the semester. If I wasn't such a procrastinator, my life would be alot easier. In fact, I am currently pulling an all nighter in order to finish a listening report, an oceanography events report, my discussion facilitation and my history research paper [which I am now turning in 2 days late]. Before all of this nonsense, I had a groundwater simulator project report and a rather tedious greek literature analysis, and a smattering of exams here and there. Am I bitching? Yes I am.

Either way. I'm done in a week. I'll be back around... sometime. If I get some money, I'll come home and hit up City one night. If you're in/around Mt. Pleasant, stop in, we'll get some coffee or drinks, or something.

PS- It's my friend Samma's 21st birthday celebration this weekend. She'll be at City on Saturday, probably wearing a tiara, or something else that screams "Look at me, I'm finally 21." If for some odd reason you see her, wish her a Happy Birthday, and tell her its from me. It'd really freak her out. Don't tell her how you know me though, I want her to wonder.

XOXO,

Elegantly Wasted.

Procrastination is my middle name. Good luck on your end of the semester stuff.

I'd rather have that than all the other crap you mentioned. I could've cranked out that paper in my sleep. The other stuff? Uhhhhhhh.... (clueless)

So you're staying in BFE for the summer and not down with your parents? 'Cuz the second isn't that far of a drive for me. The first ... well, that's quite a drive for everybody. When I finally get a weekend free so I can make it up, there better be some cheesecake waiting for me.

Only one week of finals left, then I'm done...

... for a week... until my summer classes start.

I really need to find a job. I've been living off of a bag of potatoes for a week. There's only so many was to prepare them before you never want to see another one ever again.

Heh heh ... you're so Irish. Of course the best way to prepare them is Russian: Vodka!

Vodka? Pssshaw. Whiskey. It's all about the Whiskey. Mmmmm, "Jack-Browns" are my best hangover-taker-carer-ofer breakfast ever.

This 👆 definitely goes with what I said in my other post - getting old sucks. Seems like *everything* takes longer and takes more energy out of me than it used to. Really need to work on my diet and exercise, I've found the older I get, the more important those things have really become...

Well we were supposed to leave last night, but life has a way of making plans for you. I'm about to get up and get ready to go on our vacation. Had and still have a lot to do.  Not easy to just up and leave a ranch with a lot of animals and things that need taken care of. We even have people here to watch and tend things while we're gone, but still.   I had to change the radiator in my car before we leave - got that done last night. Took a lot more out of me than I thought it would, so by the time I finished I had little energy for anything else. Today I just have a couple more quick things to do on the car, like cleaning it and packing stuff. Couple of minor things to do around the ranch today, as well.   I figure we should be on the road this evening sometime. I'm looking forward to it. We're going to see the wife's side of the family, people I actually like,  in Vegas and AZ. Should only be gone for a few days, maybe a week. Going to the Grand Canyon and Lake Mead and all kinds of stuff in between, so I'm pretty stoked. I LOVE the Southwest.   Wish me luck that my car survives the desert! (Hence new radiator) 🤠👍

Sometimes sleep can be a scary thing.  I passed out so hard at 4:54pm today.  Yesterday wiped me out with rentals, appointments and helping a lost dog get back home.  Fortunately, I found him on Facebook and contacted the owners and he was picked up before nightfall.  But I think I totally overdid it and paid for it today in the middle of handling business.  Thankfully it was some work at home stuff.   I definitely do not like being that kind of tired.  It's like the World could end and I'd wake up afterwards trying to find out what happened.
