It would be my pleasure.

What time is your flight?

I live in the general area of the airport. If you are interested in meeting the Furbrood, I can pick you up, swing over to my house so you can meet 'em, and get you to the terminal early for flight.

If not, s'all good, just let me know flight time & number so I can keep in touch with the airlines to check for delays and the like.

sounds like a plan.

my flight is at 9, but they say check in 2-3 hours before, my inate sense of paranioa over delays on checking in says get there by 5pm

i'll be flying out on NWA flight number 32

Big Duh on my part. Just read the subtitle that says you need to get there by 5:00.

In order to bring you over for, say, a half-hour visit, I'd need to pick you up from Ypsilanti about 3:00.

If that doesn't work for you, then I can be in Ypsi to pick you up at 4:30 to get you to the airport by 5:00.

Think on it and let me know by Wednesday the 24th.

By the way, no banjos in the Hickmobile. Too hard to close the rickety doors without those dadburn things gettin' in the way.

i dont have anything planned on that day so whenever you feel its best to pick me up

Are you gonna be stuck in a house all day with nothing to do except wait to be taken to the airport?

If so, is there anything you'd like to do with that day? I can come out as early as you'd like and act as chauffeur/tourist guide for your last day in town.

Lemme know - if you'd like to be out-and-about but don't know what to do, I can scrape up some suggestions that'd take you places to see/shop/etc. and still remain around the general vicinity of the airport.

This 👆 definitely goes with what I said in my other post - getting old sucks. Seems like *everything* takes longer and takes more energy out of me than it used to. Really need to work on my diet and exercise, I've found the older I get, the more important those things have really become...

Well we were supposed to leave last night, but life has a way of making plans for you. I'm about to get up and get ready to go on our vacation. Had and still have a lot to do.  Not easy to just up and leave a ranch with a lot of animals and things that need taken care of. We even have people here to watch and tend things while we're gone, but still.   I had to change the radiator in my car before we leave - got that done last night. Took a lot more out of me than I thought it would, so by the time I finished I had little energy for anything else. Today I just have a couple more quick things to do on the car, like cleaning it and packing stuff. Couple of minor things to do around the ranch today, as well.   I figure we should be on the road this evening sometime. I'm looking forward to it. We're going to see the wife's side of the family, people I actually like,  in Vegas and AZ. Should only be gone for a few days, maybe a week. Going to the Grand Canyon and Lake Mead and all kinds of stuff in between, so I'm pretty stoked. I LOVE the Southwest.   Wish me luck that my car survives the desert! (Hence new radiator) 🤠👍

Sometimes sleep can be a scary thing.  I passed out so hard at 4:54pm today.  Yesterday wiped me out with rentals, appointments and helping a lost dog get back home.  Fortunately, I found him on Facebook and contacted the owners and he was picked up before nightfall.  But I think I totally overdid it and paid for it today in the middle of handling business.  Thankfully it was some work at home stuff.   I definitely do not like being that kind of tired.  It's like the World could end and I'd wake up afterwards trying to find out what happened.
