Good for you!

I did abnormally good in my own PS class in college, getting A's on tests and overall. I hated the damned subject, yet did really well. I think I had a great professor, and even better TA.

Congrats. Taking that this semester myself. No tests yet, though.

I have mixed feelings about Poli Sci I know the material really well already (I've worked in politics a lot) but my prof. really pisses me off. I'm thinking about transferring to another section.

Actually, my Prof is very right down the middle. He never picks a side but explains both very well. Now if only he didn't talk like Ben Stein and stutter...oh well, guess you can't have it all...

My prof said a few things that pissed me off and she also has a tendency to really oversimplify things. Okay, I know it's an intro course, but America really needs informed voters who will do research beyond the soundbyte level.

I realize you said that it's wrong either way, but if you want to argue about which way professors are skewed, please do it in politics.

And not everyone who criticises the current leadership of America is anti-American. The First Amendment is there because democracy needs open discussion.

I'm not going to argue my opinion against yours, but please respect my right to hold it.

Look, I am allergic to political discussion on this forum (not on other forums, btw, just here), as you know. I will not be drawn into it. I will not take your bait. And bait it is.

I have a right to disagree with you and I have a right to disagree with Bush. And I don't appreciate being all but accused of treason for participating in democracy, which is what your statement about, and characterization of, opponents of Bush's war amounts to. I think you knew exactly what you were doing.

I gave you a carefully neutral, nonpartisan synopsis of my objections to my professor. And I said I didn't appreciate your very non-neutral response to my first carefully neutral post about my professor. I shouldn't have taken the bait even to that degree. I should have ignored you.

That is exactly what the fuck I was talking about and I think that you know that. If you don't, then I really can't help you.

BTW, do you want to know what's wrong with political science education?

I just want to say, I'm not pointing any fingers at anyone in particular with this comment. But I'm not quite sure what you two were arguing about. No one really said anything bad and then all the sudden, everything is all freaked out.

Enhance your calms.

Black Sunday didn't call liberals Anti-American. He called liars anti-americans. and though many liberals are liars, that doesn't mean all of them are anti-american. Of course I'd have to say there is probably a similar proportion of liars/non-liars in the conservatives as well. You just gotta watch out for those non-partisan people. They're the biggest liars of all.
