New Pope wants to canonize Pope Classic.

What exactly did JP do to make him worthy of that? I mean, he was the Pope and all, but... Is Benny trying to set a precedent for canonizing just about every pope after he dies, so he can get some props too?

Maybe I'm a dirty liberal, but I really didn't like his stance on a lot of things. Not that it really affects me, being a non-catholic... but how can you simultaneously condemn gays and protect priests who molest children? Not to mention his issue with contraception. The Roman Catholic church should consider embracing progress if they want continued survival.

I read elsewhere that the "cheering crowds" were quite small. I'm pretty sure they were not impressed with his "being forced" into joining the Hitler Youth .
