Sad indeed. One of the reasons I like being a UU. Teach the kids about many different religions/spiritual practices... and let them decide for themselves what makes sense.

They believe, "The Bible is the Word of God and should be taken literally." So then, God speaks Latin, Greek, and Aramaic? Too bad this church doesn't or they'd realize a lot of falacies in their beliefs.

I belive that the true shame in this is that it gives other christains, catholics and god himself/herself a bad name

anybody who reads the bible and takes the idea that god hates ANYBODY read it the wrong way in fact the only real mention of god disliking anybody is about those who belive they are so high in faith that they can judge

only the lord shall judge thee is the one line in the bible that most people seem to forget when to me it is the one that should be held the most true

even if you dont belive in god i still belive that the bible can be used as a sort of a guide to how to live your life now i know not everybody is going to agree with me on that but either way what this man does and has people do is in no way shap or form of any lesson that i took from it

If it's the same show I saw, the interviewer showed that a majority of the members are all related. Most of the church is family. Hmmm, makes one wonder about inbreeding and the inherit dangers therein.

Yeah, I tried to join the Church but they said I'd have to marry someone to get in.

So I did.

Now I'm married and my sister-in-law is also my neice. It's pretty weird but they have a great buffet on saturday mornings.
