Saephyr Posted June 3, 2006 Posted June 3, 2006 It goes from 1 to 6 In Ypsilanti at the park near Frog Island Just goto Summer Brewers Guild Beer Fest It's usually very hot out, you usually get really hammered but you'd be shocked at al the yummy beer styles they have. Somewhere around 130 different companies are there and live bands off to the side and yes they have portapoddies a plenty and are very clean with a sink outside and sanitizer solution last year. Get tickets ahead if you find it's up your alley and I'll be there and I may have a HUGE umbrella due to sun and I not agreeing w/ each other. It's held July 17 Saturday unless you go to the VIP show on Friday night for the Brewmeisters. They even have girly fruity beers which I like too. If ya see me or wanna warn me you're going then great! Pack a picnic lunch in the car and we can find a place to sit under a tree away from THAT park and eat and babble drunk talk. (Make sure you tell the guy that;s with me how fabuluos I look and how he should swoop me up b 4 some other creep does ) so I may see you there I hope

MarsDustDoug Posted June 4, 2006 Posted June 4, 2006 Its Friday and Saturday this year. Its one of the best weekends of the summer. as the day goes on the brewers start to pour bigger cups usually too! hehe If they are there again I HIGHLY recommend Dark Horse's Blueberry Stout (last year it was downright sacrilicious, you could smell the blueberry while they were still pouring it) New Holland's Dragon's Milk (a kinda sweet milk stout) and Sundog (GREAT IPA) And I think it was Grand Rapids brewing that had a Heffe called Clockwork Orange (best wheat beer I have EVER had in my life, and thats sayin alot cause I love wheat beer hehe) It really is a blast!
slingerlandstyx Posted June 5, 2006 Posted June 5, 2006 Cool, I may just have to set some money aside.
Reaper Posted June 6, 2006 Posted June 6, 2006 They are probably doing it with that new brewery they put in at the old grain elevator. They are also adding another new one there next to the old warehouse up the street from the elevator. That place it going to be hit up from people all over the state to come to, esp from U of M beer fans.
