Let's talk about shaving!!

Ladies and gentleman...

Where, when and how do you shave? How often even. Any great techniques to share? Do you shave your spouse,partner, etc? That can go here too..

Obviously I shave my head and face. Usually every few days. More if I'm seeing my GF. I only started shaving with a non-electric razor a few years ago... there was a steep and bloody learning curve. Always in the mirror over the sink. Head shaving was the same. Now I do it all in the shower with the occasional touch up in front of the mirror. When I'm in the shower I usually have a bunch of excess gel in my left hand that I use when I go over an area again... very helpful.

I trim most of my body hair every few weeks too... not shaved though. Damn... off-topic already! :blink

I shave my face when i cant stand the itch anymore... like.. when I get home tonight. I use clippers on my head.. my hair is so light no one can see that I don;t actually shave it.

It boils down to once a week really. Shaving my face also involves trimming my goatee. Thats a 45min to an hour task. Then the nose hairs and eye brows... check for any ear hairs....

Normally.. a shaving night means about 2-3 hours in the bathroom in a zen like state... It's relaxing... my face is like Bonzia

I shave with a machete, if that tells you anything about how often I do it.

Actually, it's spring now, and I've been going to the gym and wearing shorts and sleeveless shirts and stuff like that, so I've been shaving pretty much every 2-3 days. Just a big ol' shaving orgy. It takes me forever, I guess because I'm not terribly good at it.

i am not a fan of body hair at all...so i shave every day. i have it down to a science...doesn't take me long at all

i tend to rest my head in my hands. i dont like sandpaper feel. so twin yoil leccy razor twice daily. the rest of me... all hail the ape man

i hate shaving and in the winter i hardly do it. well i mean like once a week. to me that is hardly. i am sure i go longer but really if i go a week or longer it doesnt matter. it doesn't seem to be any longer or worse.

in the spring/summer i do it probably every 2-3 days. i can't shave every day. in the summer i wish i could, but i just can't. my skin gets so irritated and bumpy if i do, no matter what razor i use.

wow, i think this is the most personal question i ever answered on here and it was only about shaving.

ahh the shaving ... I love being a prego ... I don't have to shave that often .. for some reason my hair doesn't grow as fast =) Not to meniton that the next time that I have to shave my legs .. I won't be able to see them, so Jarod will be doing it .... :devil

same here. when i was pregnant the hair on my head grew super fast and so did my finger nails. but the rest of my hair and toenails seemed to not grow AT ALL.

i HATED shaving pregnant. i only did so so much in the end because i did NOT want to go in with hairy legs. though i did end up wearing knee socks, and keeping them on, anyways with my last one

The only thing I dont shave is my head.

Legs, however, I dont shave often because I'm always wearing jeans / pants. but before I go out to a club or if I have a photoshoot, the legs are shaved as smooth as possible. Arms I just started shaving recently, so it's more like a once-a-week deal (( usually done before a photoshoot as well )). Nether-regions, I shave every couple of days.

Gawd, I remember trying to shave when I was pregnant. I can also remember falling a few times in the shower trying to do so. *lmao* Trying to throw one leg up on the side of the tub and bending over.. *lol* yeah right!

Now adays I shave almost on the daily. I cannot stand the feel of stubble, especially when it's warm out and all I sleep in is a tanky. My legs must be smooth and moisturized every night... my feet too!

I hate shaving. I have learned how to wax my brows, and try to use things like Nads on my legs. For touch-ups, I'll use a razor, but not if I can avoid it.

I tend to go a long time between. My leg hair grows even finer & lighter than my noggin hair, so it's not real noticeable visually or by touch.

Pits I shave pretty regularly, though admittedly, I go more "European" in the winter.

Jon uses both electric & regular shavers for his face. He needs new blades in his electric pretty badly, so when he wants a closer shave, he has to use a razor. He also recently grew back his mustache, and I'm glad - it suits him and I like it.

As far as body hair, he's pretty non-hairy all over, and only shaves in the area of his calf tattoo and a tiny patch on his chest.

I likes my man smooth, and got lucky. :grin

I am not a fan of body hair on me or my hubby. I shave my pits and "other area" daily. In the winter I don't keep up on my legs like I should. Summer though..when I am wearing shorts and skirts I make sure I shave my legs daily.

My hubby has a bald head and he keeps up on his "other area" often.

Lately I don't shave that much. Maybe 2 times a week because I don't give a damn. If I have to shave for work or school or something I'll do it every day.

I used to shave in the shower like Marc but that was when I was bald. I can't do that now cuz I have to make sure my sideburns are even. I don't use shaving cream either. I usually just use water, I'm hardcore like that.

I don't shave any other parts of my body except my arms. It makes my tattoos look better.

The most I'll ever do is trim downstairs. I'm not about to go anywhere near those parts with anything sharp, not to mention I tried shaving it once and that was the last time I'll do that. Itch itch itch. No more.
