I have no problem with Fox 2. That's more... local. It's the national end that's really worrisome.

So, you can show a bit of Bias... but nothing in the story is false. Can you name a major news outlet that is not biased?

I can actually show proof that CBS makes stories up to get a political point across. They are the only major news outlet that has ever been busted to such a degree.

Not only that, is was just one story out of hundreds, go to CNN's site and Fox's site and they have mostly the same stories, many are by AP, APF, Reuters or UPI. I'm not sure how that one article equates to Fox News Sucks but that is just my opinion.

The left don't like Fox News and the Right doesn't like NPR. Both are slanted to one particular political idealogy, neither are fair and balanced and I'm not too bothered by either one of them.

The New York Times on the other hand is an actual problem.

Sheesh. I never said I had particular alliegance to any news outlet. I just don't like Fox.

I think why people have a problem with Fox is because they have some notable right wing talk show hosts. Their actual news coverage is biased to the right but I don't know if anything was an outright lie, perhaps they have been caught in lies, I just can't remember anything.

So people turn on Fox and they see Bill O'reilly or Sean Hannity or whoever and they associate them with Fox News. Fox News is a right leaning news outlet, I am just not sure that they suck. They do have liberal voices on there too such as Juan Williams and Alan Combs. So it's not like they are suppressing liberal dissent.

I'm not quite sure I'm a conservative. I'm a fiscal conservative when it's called for and I might be conservative on other issues but I don't belong to any one party. I'm anti-gun, I'm anti death penalty, I wouldn't mind raising taxes on the rich right now, I'm an isolationist in some regards (republicans are open market free traders) etc

What pisses me off is the "Fair and Balanced" claim.... I could forgive almost all that they say if they didn't claim to be unbiased with that statement...

I wasn't aware that I was doing that. I was pointing out real acts of bad journalism. I have no problem with any news media as long as they tell the truth and don't make shit up. I would rather not have to filter out political and social bias, but we are dealing with humans, so it's an evil that can't be avoided. Show me some examples of bad journalism on Fox's part and I will admit they suck. As yet, noone has ever been able to do that.

I'm probably closer to libertarian than anything, but they base their whole deal on guns and I was never really committal on gun control.
