Der Nister... Clinton had Bin Laden in "his sights" more than one time and never did anything.

As I said above.. thats EVERYONES fault.

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

but that's not Clintons fault per se, he knew that France and some of the Arab nations would get pissed if he did something. We pretty much knew he was behind the USS Cole, but couldn't prove it until later.

So if N Korea had the balls to bomb us, wouldn't that be suicide on their part, and don't they realize that?

I'm sorry... that would be logical.

Well, they could bomb us and we could potentially retaliate by flattening most of their country, but odds are we wouldn't. The concept of loss of life to innocent civilians will get brought up. These people didn't make a decision that caused their government to be butt-monkeys.

"Elections in North Korea

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Elections in North Korea are held every five years. North Korea is a single-party state. Only one political party, the Workers' Party of Korea is legally allowed to hold effective power. Although two minor parties exist, they are legally required to accept the leadership of the dominant party and appear to exist largely to give the image of democracy. All candidates in the elections are members of the Democratic Front for the Reunification of the Fatherland. The Workers' Party of Korea dominates the Front and holds all but a few seats. Candidates run unopposed, and are presumably selected by the leading figures in the executive branch of government."

The huge loss of life in N. Korea might be what they (the N. Koreans) are after. They dont care about their own people one bit (hence letting things get bad enough that they are resorting to cannibalism). Getting the USA to nuke them would have several benefits:

1. Less starving people. Only N. Korea's poorest people would be effected. The important ones would be hiding in the Dr. Strangelove tunnel systems.

2. The world would feel more sorry for them and would send more aid. The value of the aid would be higher because there would be less people to spread it out to.

3. kim jong Il would be able to be "right" about the evil americans. His bat-shit craziness would be vindicated and justified once and for all.

Just my thoughts on the issue

Ordinarily I am opposed to war but after seeing people starving and eating each other from some footage smuggled out of N Korea....I am all for it.

Not for killing innocent victims but kim jong Il , yes.

Ok, don't we actually have any REAL James Bond types in our secret service agents? Someone who can sneak in and just take him out and his crownies?

I hate the idea that allot of innocent people have to die to make change for the better. Seems inevitable.......

Why doesn't the UN do anything?

I mean, aside from sitting around and talking about it.

because the un doesn't *do* anything, they just ask really nicely if countries might mind terribly, changing their behavior, pretty-please!?? and then they say, "well, we did all we could, what do you want!?"

*Sigh* I just wish war would cease to exist.

*Sigh*  I just wish war would cease to exist.

With a big enough war.... we can make that happen

I think that at this point it would be easier for a Spy to sneak into a makebelieve world than to actually sneak into N. Korea. That country is the most paranoid and closed country in the world.

That is good news

I'm thinking I'm going to be moving to AZ, soon! Can't wait! I friggin' love it here! The heat doesn't bother me at all and the best part? NO SNOW!!! (S.N.O.W. - Shit  No One Wants)   Been staying in Bullhead City where the kids and grandkids live. Next, we're going to the wife's cousin's which is a ways North of Kingman, in the middle of nowhere, where we actually plan to move.   I really like Bullhead. It's a nice little town. Not overcrowded like Colorado Springs has become, at all. Very light traffic, reasonable prices on everything, low taxes, etc. The river offers a lot to do, with a lot of beaches and campgrounds all around it.   But yeah even though we've been over 110º-115º F just about every day,  I can handle it!  What I can't handle anymore, is snow and being cold. Just tired of it. Give me the desert over a blizzard any day!

Nope, we wasn't doing anything. I didn't want to go by myself.  I ended up doing karaoke here. It would of been a perfect day to go, though.
